An icon of the all-American road trip meets an icon of mid-century modern architecture in the all-new 2026 Airstream Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian Limited Edition Travel Trailer. By combining Airstream’s unmistakable travel trailer design ethos with Wright’s Usonian principles, the result is something truly elegant, timeless, and modern. But it’ll only be available to a select few.

Many of the features and design elements in this one-of-a-kind, 28-foot travel trailer are classic Airstream. But it also features a few firsts. Most notable is the dual-purpose lounge/sleep area anchored by a pair of twin beds that convert to a king (the largest bed ever in an Airstream) with the push of a button. Exclusive bolster pillows, tailored slipcovers, and quilted coverlets round out the space. The front lounge also transforms seamlessly between dinette and desk as needed, making this a true live/play/work travel trailer. The entire interior is awash in daylight thanks to 29 total windows—more than any other Airstream in history.

With unprecedented access to Taliesin West (Wright’s Arizona studio and home), the Airstream design team pulled heavy inspiration from archival materials, including many unrealized renderings and drawings. The Airstream Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian Limited Edition Travel Trailer even incorporates a previously unrealized mobile kitchen concept pulled from an original 1939 Wright design. Airstream also incorporated the architect’s vision of deep-set lounge seating, one-of-a-kind furnishings, and more open-concept shelving than what’s typically found in most cabinet-heavy RVs.

“This is a dream collaboration that brings together two icons of American design,” said Bob Wheeler, Airstream’s president and CEO. “By focusing on Wright’s design principles, we were pushed to think differently about materials, textures, and small space efficiency in our floor plan.”

The aesthetic is unmistakable Wright, too. The inspiration for the color palette, for example, was pulled from a mid-50s Martin Senour paint collection that leans heavily on earthy desert hues. A custom graphic leaf pattern emblazoned on the entry door — one of the most obvious external elements that set this model apart from your “typical” Airstream — was clipped from archival work that Wright created in 1956 for House Beautiful editor Elizabeth Gordon.

Despite its strong MCM-inspired roots, the trailer’s tech feature set is thoroughly modern. That includes a JL Audio + Klipsch Sound Bluetooth stereo system and a 27-inch Smart TV with Bluetooth. USB ports and LED lighting line the cabin. An on-demand, tankless hot water system makes for easy showering and dishwashing on the go. It’s all powered by a sizable 2.5kWh lithium battery setup with 300 watts of rooftop solar to keep you going both on- and off-grid.

Most “off-the-shelf” Airstreams (if we can call them that) already garner a hefty price tag, so it’s no surprise that this ultra-exclusive model is no different. The company confirms a limited-edition numbered run of only 200 units over the next two years for the 2026 Airstream Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian Limited Edition Travel Trailer, with a price tag of just under $185,000. Crazy expensive? Yes. Are we seriously considering selling all our earthly possessions to buy one? Also yes.

REI Half Dome 2 Tent 45th Anniversary

REI is well-known for great camping gear, and one of the world's personal favorites is the Co-op Half Dome 2 Tent, which was originally released in 2001 and has been a favorite ever since. LGA takes things back to basics with the minimalist CrashPad trailer camper
The deceptively simple design is part cargo trailer, part trailer camper, and all functional.
Let's Go Aero LittleGiant CrashPad camper trailer parked in a field.

While most towable RV brands are figuring out ways to pack everything and the kitchen sink into their latest models, Let's Go Aero has been quietly taking a different approach. The Colorado maker's latest model is a pared-down, off-road-ready trailer camper that's short on features but big on versatility.

The aptly named CrashPad is an upgrade to Let's Go Aero's LittleGiant and SpecOps cargo trailer models. It's basically a hard-sided, dome-shaped cover that mounts to the top of either model, but pops up in the way most rooftop tents would when you're ready to make camp. The cover is made of a durable, UV-resistant composite that sets up easily via the included strut-assist feature. By day, it's a secure, lockable cargo trailer; after dark, it makes for a well-protected basecamp shelter for ultra-minimalist overlanding and car camping.
