Cole Haan launches Pinch Apparel

Can’t make it to Kennebunkport this summer? Cole Haan has you (and your gal) covered.

The footwear, bag and accessories brand, which was founded in 1928, has just launched its first apparel collection, Pinch Apparel, which is inspired by all things Maine–including lobsters hence its name and red crustacean logo.

The first offering, which is currently sold at the brand’s standalone stores and its website, consists of items for men and women. Mostly tops, the men’s selection consists of a zip hoodie in gray or navy ($98), a nautical crew neck striped long sleeve shirt ($88), two variations of a logo-graphic T-shirt ($38), a one-pocket T-shirt in white, gray or navy ($38), a short sleeve polo in solid blue, white or gray or striped heather gray and navy ($68), a Kennedyesque cotton-linen collared shirt in white or light blue ($88) and a navy and white striped stretch swim trunk ($78) that is meant to be a stylish antidote to brash and baggy boardshorts.

A similar selection of Pinch tops is available for women.

In addition, Cole Haan has created new bright and bold colorways for its iconic Pinch Weekender penny loafer model this summer, which features a flexible Grand.OS sole ($78 to $98). The preppy, prismatic footwear assortment includes models made with fabric, twill, canvas or leather in modern-day updates of a shoe that first appeared–and hit it big–on college campuses in the 1950s. The style’s broad color palette ranges from a poppy-pink and chestnut model to a more subdued and traditional black and brown one.

‘Yellowstone’ actor Cole Hauser drops his first Lucky Brand collection
Rip shows a love for the American West in collection
Cole Hauser x Lucky Brand quilted jacket

Cole Hauser has been in Hollywood for a long time. You most likely know him as Rip, the unshakable right hand of John Dutton (Kevin Costner) in Yellowstone. But that is merely the latest in a long line of exceptional performances in films like Good Will Hunting, Tears of the Sun, Olympus has Fallen, A Good Day to Die Hard, and Pitch Black, not to mention the underrated performances in 2 Fast 2 Furious (easily the best part of that film) and Paparazzi (the movie you probably haven't heard of but NEED to see).

But that is only the beginning of Hauser's talent, as he has used his rising star to pursue other entrepreneurial goals. Free Reign coffee is one of the more well-known, along with Lazy K Bar Whiskey. Now, he adds clothing designer to his ever-expanding resume as he drops a new collection with Lucky Brand following the signing of a deal to become the face of the brand late last year.
