Starting tomorrow, Starbucks lovers can try a new, reimagined version of the classic Frappuccino. The Starbucks Strato Frappuccino blended beverage features a new layered twist inspired by the Italian word Strato, which means layer. The new drink debuts tomorrow, July 8th, in three sweet flavors, each combining creamy cold foam with familiar flavors. These new drinks are for those looking for a more refined version of the classic Frappuccino, with a fresh take on familiar flavors. The new flavors include:

  • Brown Sugar Strato Frappuccino Blended Beverage: A blend of Frappuccino® Roast coffee, milk, and ice, layered with brown sugar-flavored cream cold foam. A blend of cinnamon is an elegant finishing touch.
  • Strawberry Matcha Strato Frappuccino Blended Beverage: A vibrant blend of Starbucks reformulated unsweetened matcha, classic syrup, milk, and ice, layered with juicy strawberry-flavored cream cold foam.
  • Salted Caramel Mocha Strato Frappuccino Blended Beverage: A rich blend of the sweet flavors of chocolate and caramel, made with mocha sauce, Frappuccino® Roast coffee, milk and ice. The beverage is topped with a rich layer of salted caramel-flavored cream, cold foam, and a zigzag of caramel drizzle.

“It’s the perfect time for a beverage like this,” says Susan Engdahl, who is part of the team at Starbucks that helped create the beverage. “Customers know and love Frappuccino, which gives them a new way to enjoy it. As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Frappuccino, we’re excited to offer a modern take on a classic beverage, with layers of flavor and creamy texture that customers are craving right now.”

The evolution of barbecue in the states
Shuai Wang.

What's more American than BBQ? Injecting it with various cuisines that reflect the diverse nature of the country, that's what. Today's American barbecue landscape is extremely exciting, incorporating everything from traditional Chinese food to Ethiopian culinary customs.

Like so many things, BBQ has gone global. The proof is in places like Smoke 'N Ash in Texas and Riot BBQ in Denver. The former treats barbecue to some Ethiopian flair while the latter blends northern Mexican cuisine with Lone Star barbecue. There's King BBQ in South Carolina, which mashes up Chinese with southern barbecue. And there's Portland's esteemed Eem, which injects Thai dishes with the smoked meats of Texas barbecue.

Mark your calendars for the unofficial start of fall
Pumpkin Spice Starbucks

The beloved Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte was first introduced more than 20 years ago, creating the phenomenon it remains today. Data shows that consumer interest in pumpkin spice started earlier this year, with an uptick in searches starting in mid-June vs mid-July 2024, per Google Trends. Today, Starbucks and pumpkin spice fans can take a mental break from the summer heat and mark their calendars for August 26 -- the unofficial start of fall.

Starting August 26, the iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte, made with real pumpkin, will return at Starbucks coffeehouses. This year, other fall menu items will include the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, and Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte. Following the recent interest in the new Starbucks cortado, launched earlier this year, Starbucks will also launch a new Pecan Oatmilk Cortado alongside new Italian Sausage Egg Bites.
