In second place is New Zealand, scoring 9.43. Its incredible landscapes include alpine peaks and glacier-carved fjords, making the long plane ride entirely worth it. A gondola ride above Queenstown reveals amazing views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables mountain range, while the blue waters of Lake Pukaki frame the snow-capped Mount Cook.

Third place is shared by Portugal and the United Kingdom. Portugal features the colorful architecture of Sintra and vineyard-lined Douro Valley. The UK impresses with its variety – think Lake Windermere in the Lake District, dramatic views from the Scottish Highlands, and historic icons like Stonehenge.

Other countries in the top 10 include Greece, France, Croatia, and Italy. The United States secured the ninth spot, thanks to views like the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, and Big Sur.
