If you’re entertaining this weekend and you’re looking for a selection of drinks which are both sophisticated and easy to make, then you’re in luck: we have the perfect trio of recipes for that. While you might go nuts with the elaborate ingredients and obscure liqueurs when you’re mixing up single cocktails for your own enjoyment and experimentation, the key to successful drinks for a group is to keep it simple.

Simple doesn’t need to mean boring though. If you use high quality ingredients, then even unfussy combinations of just a few different options can create a delicious, memorable drink. That’s the approach of these cocktails from Diplomático Planas Rum, which keep the ingredient lists short and to the point to show off the qualities of a fine rum.

These coffee cocktails are the unexpected summer drinks you’ll crave all season
Summer coffee cocktails that aren't another espresso martini
Mr Black

I could sip on espresso martinis and frozen espresso martinis year-round, but sometimes, on hot summer days, you need something a bit sweeter and fruitier. These fruit-inspired summer coffee cocktails blend traditional summer flavors, like pineapple and strawberry, with Mr Black Coffee Liqueur for a caffeinated and alcoholic twist on your standard summer iced coffee.

Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, made with 100% specialty arabica coffee, Australian wheat vodka, and a touch of cane sugar, is the perfect base for creating unique summer cocktails with a caffeine boost. My favorite is the Café Colada, a drink that makes a great choice when you can't decide whether you want a fruity, frozen drink or an iced coffee (a frequent predicament I face). Here's how to make three fruity, summer coffee cocktails using Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur.

How I upgraded my De’Longhi Rivelia to make incredible cold espresso drinks
How to unlock six new cold foam recipes
De'Longhi Rivelia

I first started using the De'Longhi Rivelia espresso machine, the brand's newest fully automatic, innovative, and touchscreen espresso maker for home use. I was instantly impressed with how easy this espresso maker was to use and how quickly it made it possible to prepare all my favorite espresso-based beverages.

Ironically, I was so caught up in learning how to use the machine to make hot coffee drinks that I forgot it could also make cold coffee drinks. Once I upgraded with the De'Longhi LatteCrema Cool kit, I unlocked a whole new world of possibilities for cold coffee drinks, from an iced white flat to an iced cappuccino. This tiny upgrade changed the game, solidifying just how much I love this espresso machine.
