HOKA is no stranger to working with other designers and brands to elevate their footwear lineup. However, unlike previous collaborations, the athletic brand joins forces with design house Marni for a new Bondi sneaker in many colors. With the design’s vibrant and bold hues, the sneaker’s silhouette also catches your eye. With a puffed-up design and voluminous size, the new HOKA x Marni sneaker is a stylish addition to any look. Recently showcased during Marni’s Fall/Winter 2025 show, the sneaker will hit the shelves in April, just in time for spring weather. In four eclectic colorways, the new collaborative Bondi sneaker is ready to add a designer touch to your spring wardrobe.

As part of Marni’s “The Pink Sun” collection for Fall/Winter 2025, the fashion house and HOKA’s latest partnership is a wonderful mix of Bondi’s reliable features with Marni’s creative design. Using the brand’s Bondi B3LS as a base for the design, the new sneaker utilizes a partially rubberized polyester upper with an extra cushioning layer. A cushioned and responsive rubber EVA insole adds comfort to the design and co-branded details. Along with the extra padded silhouette, the four colorways, which include a bold red, brown, blue, and yellow, give the design an extra dash of style and statement. Finishing off the design are three laces included in the delivery, including a flat lace, a monochromatic rope lace, and a multi-colored option. The release of the new sneaker will come in stages, as it will first hit the shelves via Marni on April 3. Afterward, the shoe will be available through HOKA’s web store on April 4. The retail price for the sneaker starts at $395 for all colorways. While not the most traditional HOKA design, the designer’s touch on this Bondi sneaker elevates an already lauded sneaker.

The sneaker-loafer is fashion’s most divisive shoe — and it’s not going anywhere
The story of the sneaker-loafer trend
silver New Balance loafer shoes on blue background

First thought to be an obscure trend of 2024, the sneaker-loafer hybrid trend is rounding out to be one of the most divisive footwear trends of 2025. Like many of the newer designs, this hybrid trend boasts the ability to look sophisticated while offering all of the comfort features of a typical sneaker. Designed to be a practical dressy everyday shoe, the sneaker-loafer trend sounded like the ideal balance.

However, much of the controversy comes from the shoe's unique look, which often utilizes the top of a loafer with the outsole of a sneaker. As part of fashion’s growing “ugly shoe” trend, which also brought us the “dad shoe,” this design is crafted to stand out from the others on the shelves. A bulkier version of a dressy loafer, this silhouette has captured eyes for its one-of-a-kind look. And while many are still debating whether the trend deserves longevity, brands are already planning how to take this trend on with their stylish touch.
