The 6 Best Bike Shoes For Men in 2022

Photoboyko / Adobe Stock

This summer, we can enjoy the fresh air of the outdoors on our two-wheeled bikes. When you have an opportunity for a bike ride, you’ve got to have a pair of durable shoes that honor the occasion. You can’t just wear your everyday sneakers if you’re putting in the miles for neighborhood excursions or essential errands. Owning appropriate bike shoes that give support makes the experience a lot better. Generally speaking, we’ve tried to identify styles work as well at the office or at home as they do on the streets. We tried to stay away from the chunky styles favored by those guys in the padded shorts, zip-up shirts, and serious bicycle helmets that just blew by you at 50 miles an hour on their pricey carbon fiber bicycles. When you can walk into your home without the clickity-clank of cleats, then you know you laced up the right pair of bike shoes. Here are a few of our favorites.

A shoe covered in chain links would obviously be a great bike shoe, right? 100% yes. The DZR Cove comes with a link outsole, a reflective heel badge, and a tastefully discreet shank so others won’t know they’re clipped in. You can have the added security of a clip-in without clanking around when you want to stop and grab a beverage or check out the roadside antique store.

Trail Running Shoe Brooks Caldera 8

There's nothing like escaping the hustle and bustle of daily life than trail running in the woods. It's like all of your problems melt away for a bit, and it's just you and the trees and the fresh air. Throughout my trail running journey, I've learned that it's super helpful to have proper trail running gear, especially in a good trail running shoe. So, if you're looking for a new pair this spring, might I suggest Brooks Running?

This brand was originally founded in 1914, but they shifted to running shoes in the 1970s. These days, they are expanding their collection to include The Brooks Caldera 8, which is the latest iteration of its max-cushioned trail running shoe. This one is particularly designed for long-distance trail runners who are seeking comfort and protection.

For the Paris Fashion Week Men’s FW25 season, many designers showcased some of their boldest and loudest pieces yet, marking the continuation of a maximalist trend in the industry. While the clothing pieces made for some eccentric looks, the footwear managed to captivate the eyes of many. Throughout the week, designers displayed some of their boldest and out-of-the-box footwear, making for some interesting future purchases. With many collaborations and housemade shoe options, this year’s Paris Fashion Week Men’s was a definite win for maximalists everywhere.
Comme des Garçons Homme Plus

As we’ve seen through their previous footwear releases, Comme des Garçons isn’t afraid of creating a bold shoe. However, for Paris Fashion Week, the fashion brand went out-of-the-(shoe)box for a boot that, at first glance, seems normal but is truly a surrealist work of art. Displaying an army boot with a lifted 90-degree angle toe box, this boot is bold enough to deserve a second look. While crafted for the runway, this boot can perfectly find its match in everyday life, especially for those not afraid of a small quirk.
