Adidas and CLOT release a fun new Stan Smith

While it seems as if Adidas has recently released all kinds of variations of Samba or Superstar sneaker, the brand has now taken a look at the Stan Smith for its next inspiration. Along with CLOT, a previous collaborator, Adidas has reworked the Stan Smith in a subtle yet statement way. While not much has changed with the sneaker’s silhouette, CLOT’s trendy touch adds a small bit of personality and style to the retro shoe. Much like CLOT’s previous collaboration with Adidas and other brands, the new Stan Smith stays true to the traditional look of the design, with a slight accented twist.

In this new collaboration, which is solely available via select stockists, CLOT and Adidas have added a slight touch to the Stan Smith sneaker. Still donning a white leather upper, the shoe sees a small change by adding a curtain of beads in the heel. Dangling from the heel, these black/blue/white beads add movement, texture, and style to the design. The rest of the sneaker continues in a monochromatic white colorway, with the traditional Stan Smith silhouette in tact. While the sneaker is available via stockists for $160, it’s expected to have a wider release during the summertime. As summer approaches, Adidas has looked to the Stan Smith to lead its summer releases, with many variations of the iconic design expected to release in the upcoming weeks. As for the CLOT and Adidas partnership, more collaborative releases are also on the horizon in the next couple of months.

There’s no doubt that when New Balance 1906L first debuted, the sneaker-loafer was born. While other brands released similar styles before and after, the New Balance 1906L marked the start of the hybrid shoe trend. Since its debut, the New Balance 1906L has had multiple iterations in different colors and materials, with some offering a more subdued look while others amped up the statement silhouette. As we approach the fall season, the athletic company is once again pushing the envelope with a new pair of colorways of the sneaker-loafer, also known as the snoafer. Donning croc finishes, the two new pairs of 1906L offer a luxe texture material with the choice of a decadent red or monochromatic black.
