Be honest: How many cups of coffee do you take down a day? We tend to lose track. But what the heck does coffee have to do with your sneaker rotation? Actually, when it comes to Rens Shoes, coffee, and sneakers are as closely intertwined as it gets. For starters, they’re billed as the world’s first coffee sneakers (that’s a heck of a lot of java). They’re made from material that incorporates 150 grams of coffee waste (coffee yarn helps build the upper) and six recycled plastic bottles (found in materials like the sock liner).

Think of all the coffee filters you use weekly, and then think carefully about the waste from that cup of joe. Or rather, let Rens do the thinking for you because every pair of Rens sneakers “diverts 21 cups worth of coffee grounds” from landfills. The rest of the shoe is every bit as sustainable, right down to the natural rubber outsole. Oh, and as a final kicker, these stylish slip-on sneakers are 100% waterproof. We’ll slip right into those, please, and thank you.

Cariuma

When we said that every bit of your wardrobe could be more sustainable, we meant it, and Cariuma means it too. The stylish Brazilian sneaker brand, a new favorite of ours, has taken the sneaker world by storm, inspiring fervent devotion and a wait list in the thousands. And don’t get us started on the fact that these might be the most eco-friendly sneakers on the planet. Cariuma crafts its sneakers in ethical factories using materials like natural rubber (Sustainable? Check) and the world’s fastest-growing plant, the regenerative and anti-microbial bamboo (Sustainable? Another box checked off).

Organic cotton canvas makes up the uppers of its durable canvas styles, and plant-based mamona oil helps make up the foam components of the sneaker for a springy finish. As far as sustainability is concerned, no stone goes unturned with Cariuma. They even use recycled and recyclable packing materials. Last but not least, recycled plastic bottles help make up everything from the laces to the minimal logo label. Plus, you get a positively massive array of silhouettes and style options, from slip-ons to skate-inspired sneakers. When we said Cariuma was one of the best sustainable brands, we weren’t kidding.

Quince

Quince

Most menswear goes from point A to point B to point C, zigs and zags, and then ends up at your doorstep. The same is even true for your home goods, like towels and bedding. Quince doesn’t zig or zag, though, unless you count the fact that the sustainable men’s and women’s brand delivers directly from its factories to your doorstep, with no extra steps required. It’s a low-overhead approach that complements the brand’s luxurious essentials, including a shockingly low-priced cashmere sweater (try $59 on for size).

While there are lots of essentials to love at Quince, it’s the brand’s use of long-lasting cashmere, plus materials like organic cotton and linen, that makes them one of the most sustainable brands on the planet. The brand is also in the process of eliminating virgin plastic in its packaging, and that lower carbon footprint is also possible thanks to direct shipping, no middleman needed. Loungewear, joggers, and long-sleeve tees get luxurious upgrades via soft cashmere fabric and recycled materials in equal measure. Your wardrobe just got a whole lot more eco-conscious, without the zigging, the zagging, or the high prices. We can get behind that.

Citizen celebrates 40 years of aqualand with limited anniversary edition
Four decades deep: Citizen's limited aqualand edition celebrates electronic depth-sensing innovation
Citizens aqualand 40 years

Citizen celebrates 40 years of underwater innovation with the Promaster Aqualand 40th Anniversary Limited Edition, a tribute to the 1985 model that introduced electronic depth meters to professional diving. This $595 limited edition retains the iconic design elements of the original while incorporating modern materials and a commitment to environmental responsibility.
The first Aqualand was a breakthrough in 1985, being the world’s first diver’s watch with an electronic depth meter. This innovation transformed professional diving by providing real-time depth data alongside standard timekeeping functions, setting a new standard for underwater instruments.
The anniversary edition closely mirrors the distinctive look that made the original famous. The crown is positioned at 4 o’clock, three push buttons are thoughtfully placed, and the round depth sensor at 9 o’clock echoes the original’s signature feature. The updated model uses a gray, brushed stainless steel case with gold accents, lending a celebratory feel for the 40th anniversary.
Technically, the new Aqualand maintains the pioneering spirit of its predecessor. The digital display shows time, calendar, alarm, and chronograph functions, and in dive mode, it measures depth and dive time. The ascent rate alarm warns divers if they ascend too quickly, enhancing safety during decompression.
The BENEBiOL™ polyurethane strap is made from plant-based materials, offering durability in water while reducing environmental impact. This eco-friendly approach underscores Citizen’s commitment to responsible manufacturing without sacrificing performance in marine environments.
Powered by the Cal.C520 movement, the watch operates within ±20 seconds per month and supports full digital functionality. The watch meets ISO standards for 200-meter water resistance, making it suitable for professional diving. It features luminous hands and markers, a unidirectional rotating bezel, a screw-down crown, and a 1/100-second chronograph with a 100-minute counter for precise underwater timing.
The case back features a special design inspired by the original sensor, adding a unique touch exclusive to this anniversary edition. Limited to 5,800 pieces and launching in July 2025, the watch is aimed at both diving professionals and collectors who appreciate technical innovation in timepieces.
At $595, the Aqualand 40th Anniversary Edition offers a chance to celebrate the history of electronic diving watches while delivering modern performance, proving that thoughtful evolution keeps classic technologies relevant and reliable. Find out more at www.citizenwatch.com.

The power suit is back: An expert guide to wearing it in 2025
The men's style classic brings back the authority of the 80s man
Man in power suit

Whether you are a fan of the fictional Gordon Gecko in Wall Street or more of a real-life kind of guy, rewatching Leonardo DiCaprio's Jordan Belfort in The Wolf of Wall Street, one thing that you can't deny is that the men knew how to dress. But it wasn't about fashion. It was never about fashion. These men, and countless other nameless men who wore men's suits in the 1980s, stumbled onto something more. The power suit was, of course, a part of the man's wardrobe throughout the decade, but what started as a style staple quickly evolved into a statement. The power suit projected wealth, status, and authority. When you saw these men on the street, you wanted to follow them, learn from them, and become a Wolf of Wall Street in your own right.

Now, we're seeing a return of the power suit. We are watching as men reclaim their authority, strive for their wealth, and become leaders before they even step out the door. But what is the cause? Why did they show back up? Or an even better question, did they ever truly leave? At the end of the day, this is about men reemerging from a pandemic and a general sense of uncertainty to take charge of their destinies, just as their fathers, grandfathers, and all the men of the past did. But like any men's style arena, there are some guidelines you can follow to help you capture the past without looking outdated. We reached out to Alberto Gil, co-founder of Hockerty, to have him walk us through how to wear the 80s power suit four decades after its heyday.
