The Red Wing x Todd Snyder Moc Toe Boots Are Our New Fall Favorites

If you have been searching for the perfect pair of fall boots, your search is over. That’s a big statement. But bear with us.

The Red Wing x Todd Snyder 877 Moc Toe Boots, newly released on September 10, are rugged, essential, beautifully made, and simply stunning. Like other style staples (and collaborations) from lauded American designer Todd Snyder, the past gets a new update for the modern age, playing off Red Wing’s classic 877 moc-toe boots in a 6-inch silhouette for the very first time.

And for Snyder, the collab is especially personal. The Iowa-born designer first wore Red Wing boots working at his dad’s engineering firm years ago. “That’s where I first fell in love with them,” Snyder said while showing off the stylish boots at his well-appointed Madison Square store last month. It’s no surprise that the Red Wing x Todd Snyder Moc Toe Boots already fit right in alongside the designer’s classic crewneck sweaters, heritage-quality outerwear, and slim, tailored dress pants. And in true Snyder fashion, you could wear the new boots with any of those fall style essentials.

The product of about a year’s worth of work and partnership with Red Wing Heritage director of sales, Steve Spencer, who loved working with Snyder. “It was a really comfortable project for us,” he said. The time and attention to detail show in the finished product, a durable pair of boots that won’t look out of place on a first date or at your favorite bar or at the office.

Using both full-grain and rough out leather, the Red Wing x Todd Snyder Moc Toe Boots are available in a rich copper color or a more sleek charcoal, finished off with a Vibram lug sole and rugged-yet-refined leather laces. For us, we think the charcoal option is a unique take on the traditional black boot and Snyder agrees. It’s a “city living kind of vibe,” he said.

The boots retail for $380, but that’s a small price to pay for a pair of boots that work all fall and winter long. It’s a unique approach to craftsmanship that gets all the details right, from small touches like an old-school bar-tack stitch to a storm welt. To us, that makes these moc toe boots uniquely hard-wearing, yet office-friendly. The collaboration results in a handsome boot that “just gets better with age,” according to Snyder.

The designer could see these being worn with everything from black denim to wool trousers, too; the aesthetic, as Snyder says, is “classic with a different edge.” If that sounds agreeable to you, then we certainly recommend you step into a pair of the Red Wing x Todd Snyder Moc Toe Boots before like-minded customers snap them all up.

Why these 7 watches are smart style statements
Businessman checking time on his wristwatch. men's hand with a watch.

Owning a luxury watch is an investment often stemming from a passion for horology and a smart financial move. The right watch can significantly appreciate over time to become a wearable asset and ultimately a family heirloom. Despite these grand prospects, not every watch has this benefit, as some depreciate rapidly or lack demand from avid collectors.

According to the CEO and co-founder of Bezel, Quaid Walker, "Watches are made to be worn, so always choose a watch that you love, versus selecting a watch purely as a speculative investment. The market tends to favor the iconic brands due to high demand, limited supply, and brand prestige, but none of that matters if you don’t enjoy wearing it."
