British TV’s Darren Kennedy on the Amazing Race and his enviable style

Today we speak to British TV personality- Darren Kennedy.

I grew up in Dublin and I starting off working as a runner on breakfast TV aged 17 while I was at Uni (studying International Business with French & Spanish). After a stint living in Paris, I came home and started working in TV, researching and eventually producing, presenting and developing a raft of entertainment programmes including the Emmy Award winning Amazing Race. I’ve been lucky to maintain creative input in many of my TV projects including my series ‘The Unemployables’ (think Benefits Street meets The Undatables) which went on to be nominated for best new TV format at the European Broadcasting Union Awards. Outside of television, I also collaborate with master tailor Louis Copeland to design my ‘DKxLC’ collection which is now in it’s sixth successful season and this year I launched the first ‘Darren Kennedy Recommends’ Edit at Specsavers.

As for Darren’s personal style:

Jeans: Swedish brand Acne

Recommended Videos

My go-to is the ‘Max’, a Slim fit, low rise jean tapered from the knee down.

Shirts: Comme des Garçons

This Japanese label puts a creative spin on wardrobe building blocks. There’s always something slightly off-beat, which I like, with lots of bold patterns, colours and shapes. I’m mad for a Cuban collar and the bowling shirt right now. I like them cut in a roomy, comfortable fit. They work  really well with a tailored jacket and trousers for a chilled our summer suiting vibe.

Pants: DKxLC suit trousers

I like breaking up my suits and wearing each piece separately in different outfits. At the moment, I’m getting lots of wear from the bottle green pants (part of a two –piece from my current collection). They’re a silk and wool blend so incredible comfortable and cool to wear in summer.

Suits: DKxLC

Obviously I’m biased but the ‘Malahide’ blue and white striped seersucker two piece with broad peaked lapel and tapered leg is a summer must-have. Not for the faint-hearted, this is a statement style.

Shoes: Nike

Trainers are a minor obsession of mine. Always great with chinos or jeans and a great when paired with tailoring for a more laid back look. My most recent purchase are a pair of leather woven Air Max in tan with woven detailing around the edge where the sole mets.

Accessories: Brüggler

For anyone interested in personalization, you’ll love Bruggler. The Zurich-based watchmakers have developed an online platform that offers Swiss made-to-measure timepieces that you design online but which are assembled using traditional age-old techniques from companies in the Swiss Jura valleys that have been judged ‘best in class’.

Outerwear: Tommy Hilfiger Trench Coat.

The trench is a classic for a reason. I like to keep mine simple – light taupe colour and coming to a couple of inches above the knee to keep it contemporary.

Favorite Cologne: Tom Ford Azure Lime from the private collection.

Your favorite App: The iMovie app.

It allows me to edit my YouTube videos on the go and upload directly to my channel. When you spend as much time on airplanes as I do, it’s an essential.

Favorite piece of technology: iPhone

Next tech purchase: Macbook Air

I was just thinking this morning it’s time for an upgrade. I’ve recently run out of storage and my current Macbook has become tediously slow!

Graphpaper and PUMA elevate the Speedcat Plus in a monochrome triple-leather
PUMA's Speedcat sneaker gets a minimalist upgrade
puma speedcat sneaker

In the last couple of seasons, PUMA’s Speedcat silhouette has slowly become the brand’s answer to Adidas’ Samba and Nike’s Cortez revival. As the other brands continue to reinvent and reimagine some of their iconic sneakers, PUMA has taken to designs like the Speedcat for another pass through the spotlight. As the sneaker continues to reach a new audience with playful prints and textures, the brand hasn’t slowed down on releasing new iterations of the classic sneaker. In their latest collaboration on the Speedcat, PUMA has joined forces with Japanese label Graphpaper for a pared-down and subtle take on the sneaker that’s equally as retro as it is elevated. While this partnership takes on the Speedcat Plus, the silhouette’s more statement version, the iconic shape and style of the original Speedcat remains, with remnants of its racing past still visible.

Zenith’s space-forged chronograph goes worldwide
Zenith's Space-Forged Chronograph Expands
CHRONOMASTER SPORT METEORITE

Zenith has expanded global availability for its Chronomaster Sport Meteorite, a timepiece featuring authentic space fragments integrated into the dial.
Previously exclusive to Japan, the 41mm chronograph now reaches international markets through Zenith boutiques and authorized retailers at $17,500. Each watch incorporates a dial crafted from genuine meteorite that traveled through space for millions of years before reaching Earth and Zenith's Le Locle facilities.
The meteorite dials showcase the Widmanstätten pattern, a geometric formation created when molten iron cools gradually in space's vacuum. Hand-finishing reveals these cosmic crystalline structures, ensuring each dial remains unique. Against this extraterrestrial backdrop, Zenith's signature tri-color chronograph counters in silver, light grey, and anthracite create visual contrast with circular azuré finishing.
The stainless steel case preserves the design language of Zenith's 1969 A386 chronograph while incorporating contemporary elements like a black ceramic bezel marked with 10-second graduations. Pump-style pushers and modern proportions blend heritage aesthetics with current styling, while 10 ATM water resistance ensures daily practicality.
The timepiece houses Zenith's El Primero 3600 movement, the latest iteration of the brand's high-frequency chronograph caliber that earned the 2021 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève "Chronograph" award. Operating at 5 Hz with a silicon escape wheel, the movement achieves 1/10th second precision with the chronograph hand completing full rotations every 10 seconds.
The caliber provides 60 hours of power reserve and displays refined decoration through the sapphire caseback, including a blue column wheel, horizontal clutch, and openworked rotor featuring the Zenith star emblem.
The package includes both an integrated steel bracelet and black rubber strap for wearing versatility.
