After drawing inspiration from nature, Zenith recently launched a timepiece with a green, jungle-like look. The Zenith Defy Extreme Jungle is the last addition to a series of three watches inspired by harsh environments—previous models were based on glacier and desert environments.

Like its counterparts, this watch is constructed from durable materials. The casing features different types of natural stones, thanks to Zenith’s high-quality watchmaking workmanship and technical mastery.

While the casing is manufactured from titanium, it is lightweight and can sit perfectly on the wrist. Since the bezel and pushers are made from tiger’s eye quartz, the casing looks very stylish and modern. Featuring multiple color striations, the tiger’s eye quartz gives the watch a unique mystique-like look that accentuates the jungle theme.

Speaking of which, the dial has a beautiful jungle green color complemented by a brown shade.

Designed to offer a high-quality horological experience, the Zenith Defy Extreme Jungle has three subdials: a chronograph power-reserve indication, a 60-second counter, and a 30-minute counter.

It also draws power from the El Primero 9004 caliber, capable of measuring up to 1/100th of a second for precision and accuracy.

Even though Zenith focused on aesthetics during the design phase, this watch can reach depths of about 200 meters.

It is equipped with an interchangeable mechanism for switching straps, offering multiple styling options. The watch features a green strap that blends smoothly with the dial, but it can be easily swapped.

As a limited edition watch, only 50 pieces were rolled out into the market, and each retails at $30,000.

French watchmaker creates ceramic skeleton watch inspired by stealth aircraft technology
BR-05-Skeleton-Phantom-Ceramnic. press shot

Bell & Ross has introduced the BR-05 Skeleton Phantom Ceramic, a striking limited edition that continues the brand's tradition of creating timepieces inspired by stealth aircraft while showcasing the versatility of its integrated bracelet design first launched in 2019.
The latest release draws from Bell & Ross' long lineage of "phantom" watches dating back to 2007, inspired by the dark, radar-absorbing livery of stealth aircraft. The all-black aesthetic creates a sculptural, almost architectural design that emphasizes the BR-05's distinctive square case profile.
The 41mm case is crafted from black ceramic, featuring vertical satin brushing combined with highly polished elements on the case sides and center bracelet links. Ceramic offers practical advantages including exceptional durability and lightweight construction, making it ideal for a sporty bracelet watch.
To prevent the monochrome design from appearing monotonous, Bell & Ross has skeletonized the dial, revealing the Caliber BR-CAL.322-1 movement developed specifically for the brand. A tinted transparent dial plate provides clear visibility of the mechanical movement while maintaining the stealth aesthetic.
The prominent dial flange holds baton hour markers filled with grey Super-LumiNova, which produces a bright green glow in low light conditions. The hands feature matching luminous material, ensuring excellent readability while preserving the watch's tactical appearance.
The BR-CAL.322-1 automatic mechanical movement offers a 54-hour power reserve and displays hours, minutes, and seconds. The visible movement components add visual interest through the skeletonized dial while demonstrating Bell & Ross' commitment to developing its own calibers.
Measuring 41mm by 11.2mm, the case provides 100-meter water resistance suitable for daily wear. The watch is available with either a matching black ceramic bracelet or black rubber strap, offering versatility for different wearing occasions.
This release demonstrates how the BR-05 collection has evolved since its 2019 debut, when Bell & Ross surprised the market with its interpretation of an integrated bracelet sports watch. The refined square case has become increasingly important to the brand's portfolio, proving its adaptability across different materials and complications.
The Skeleton Phantom Ceramic shows Bell & Ross maintaining its core identity of square, function-focused watches inspired by aviation instruments while retaining contemporary appeal. The stealth aircraft inspiration connects directly to the brand's aviation heritage while offering a modern interpretation of military aesthetics.
Limited to 500 pieces, the BR-05 Skeleton Phantom Ceramic continues Bell & Ross' exploration of advanced materials and manufacturing techniques. The combination of ceramic construction, skeletonized movement display, and stealth-inspired design creates an appealing package for collectors seeking aviation-themed timepieces.
The release reinforces the BR-05's position as a strong competitor in the integrated bracelet sports watch segment while maintaining Bell & Ross' distinctive square case DNA.

Zenith’s summer dream watch ends epic Surfer collaboration
Zenith and Time+Tide complete surfer trilogy with white ceramic masterpiece
Skyline skeleton surfer ceramic blue background

Zenith and Time+Tide have completed their celebrated "Surfer Trilogy" with the release of the Defy Skyline Skeleton White Surfer Ceramic, marking the third and final collaboration between the Swiss manufacturer and the Australian watch media company.
The 100-piece limited edition follows the success of previous collaborations: the micro-blasted titanium Defy Classic Skeleton Night Surfer in 2021 and the Defy Skyline Skeleton Night Surfer El Primero in 2023. Both earlier releases sold out quickly, establishing this partnership as one of the watch industry's most successful ongoing collaborations.
The new White Surfer Ceramic maintains the signature blue gradient openworked dial concept that appears across all three editions while introducing a fresh summer aesthetic. The 41mm white ceramic case offers scratch resistance and ultra-light comfort, making it suitable for beach activities with 10 ATM water resistance.
"With this third chapter in our collaboration, we're not just continuing a story, we're elevating it," said Benoît de Clerck, CEO of Zenith. "Each edition has deepened our creative dialogue, and this new release is the boldest expression yet of what we can achieve together."
The timepiece features a gradient blue dial that transitions from darker blue at the top to light blue at the bottom. The bridges adopt Zenith's five-pointed star design filled with Super-LumiNova, a feature previously seen only in the original Night Surfer model.
Powering the watch is the skeletonized automatic El Primero 3620 SK caliber, rendered in matching blue tones. The high-frequency movement beats at 5Hz and offers approximately 55 hours of power reserve. Its 1/10th second hand is driven directly from the escapement, maintaining Zenith's chronograph heritage.
"There's a huge risk in trying for a trilogy when the first two collabs have been so popular," noted Andrew McUtchen, founder of Time+Tide. "But when we saw the prototype of an 'inverted' Night Surfer, in brushed white ceramic, we just had to make it happen."
The watch includes both an integrated white ceramic bracelet and a white patterned rubber strap. Zenith's quick strap-change mechanism allows tool-free switching between options, enhancing versatility for different activities.
The Defy Skyline Skeleton White Surfer Ceramic represents a significant departure from the darker titanium finishes of previous collaborations, embracing a lighter, summer-focused aesthetic while maintaining the technical excellence that defined the series.
The limited edition will be available through Time+Tide, authorized Zenith retailers worldwide, and Zenith's physical and online boutiques. Given the rapid sellout history of previous Surfer editions, collectors are expected to act quickly when the watch becomes available.
With this release, Zenith and Time+Tide conclude what has become one of the most successful ongoing collaborations in contemporary watchmaking, spanning four years and three distinct timepieces that redefined collaborative watch design.
