One of our favorite casual apparel brands, Faherty, and one of our favorite online retailers, Huckberry, have officially teamed up for a killer red-, orange-, and blue-toned capsule collection inspired by Faherty’s surf style. Why? Simple: the founders of both companies are old friends.
Here’s what Faherty had to say about getting together with Huckberry: “Alex Faherty and Huckberry’s co-founder, Andy Forch, worked together on Wall Street more than 10 years ago. During a visit to Faherty HQ, the Huckberry guys came across Faherty’s Sequoia Grove pattern, and after a few rounds of beers, they all decided to do a capsule collection.”
Huckberry added: “Long before [Huckberry] took the plunge into the wild waters of entrepreneurship, Alex and Mike Faherty were our surf buddies. Admittedly, they did most of the surfing on those trips, like 99.9 percent. Which makes total sense — seeing as they’ve since built a successful apparel brand that combines their surf know-how and lifelong connection to the beach with Mike’s years of experience.”
And that connection to the beach is apparent in the patterning, colorways, and easy-going style of the four extremely reasonably priced pieces below.
The best part about the collab (other than it being the best sunset-hued clothes we’ve seen) is the fact that 5 percent of all sales will go to Surfrider Foundation to keep our oceans clean.
Hawaiian Shirt – $100

Sunset Tee – $50
Classic, with throwback styling and a sunset surf paradise print, this slub cotton tee is just as good for a day at the beach as it is for lounging around the house.
Beacon Trunk – $80
You can’t have a collaboration inspired by sunsets, sequoias, and sea without offering up a swim trunk. This particular one features a unique Faherty pattern on an eco-friendly recycled polyester and cotton fabric. The Beacon Trunk also sports a DWR coating for quick-dry, an elastic waistband, and a super soft mesh liner.
7-inch Classic Board Short – $80
If you must wear a board short, make it these. One of the few pairs we aesthetically acceptable, these linerless board shorts are also DWR-coated for quick dry and can be worn in and out of the water. You can go from hanging 10 to happy hour without changing shorts.
