Giveaway! Wolverine introduces limited edition boot with Liberty art fabrics

While The Manual certainly caters to the ‘man’s man’ we appreciate a gent who can show his colorful side. That is why these new Wolverines lined in a Liberty print are especially appealing. The more than 130-year-old brand known for durable high-quality work boots introduces a limited edition Wolverine 1000 Mile Boot for men and women featuring Liberty Art Fabrics as part of the Wolverine 1000 Mile Collection for Spring 2016.

What is a Liberty print you ask? The fabric is named after the swank London department store located on Regent Street that opened in 1875. In the 1920s Liberty started producing their own fabrics, all made in England. Since then they have been a best seller for the store and Liberty has collaborated with everyone from Vans, Uniqlo, J.Crew and now Wolverine.

“Wolverine 1000 Mile and Liberty Art Fabrics make for a perfect partnership; both share a profound respect for their long, rich heritages along with a passion for ingenuity and creating designs that are relevant to people today,” said Martin Shobo, global product line manager for Wolverine’s Heritage Collections including Wolverine 1000 Mile.

This limited edition of Wolverine’s 100-year-old boot pattern is fully lined with Liberty Art Fabrics and is handcrafted in the U.S.A.

The men’s styles are available in rich red and light brown colorways with a red paisley print lining and feature richly oiled leathers from the renowned Horween Leather Company, traditional Goodyear Welt construction and a leather outsole. The collection is available at Wolverine1000Mile.com and at select retailers.

To refresh you on the brand, Wolverine was founded in 1883 by G.A. Krause, and it soon revolutionized the industry with the 1000 Mile Boot made from soft and pliable yet durable shell cordovan – a material that no other tannery had been able to produce.

Featured in one of the first-ever national advertising campaigns for footwear in the 1920s, Wolverine and the 1000 Mile Boot soon became a signature product for Wolverine and men of the 20th century. Today, Wolverine celebrates its heritage with the Wolverine 1000 Mile Collection, a curated selection of archival-inspired patterns that embody the pillars of Wolverine’s heritage – quality, comfort, durability and style.

Last year, clearly already excited for the Olympics like a kid asking about Christmas in March, Omega released the two-tone Seamaster Dive 300m as a commemorative watch. Now, we have a second set of watches to celebrate the upcoming games (at this rate, we're half expecting Omega to drop a new watch to celebrate the opening ceremony, the closing ceremony, and all the sports in between.
