Timex and Todd Snyder Put a Modern Spin on the Classic Military Watch

The timepiece All-Star team in Timex x Todd Snyder are at it again with a stunning military watch that blends retro and modern into one.

On February 9, Americana-inspired menswear designer Todd Snyder released his latest beauty with the collaborative Timex x Todd Snyder Military Watch. The collaboration channels inspiration from other rare, vintage Timex watches, and other military timepieces from the ’60s and ’70s.

The two together have truly curated a watch that evokes a shared commitment to stellar design, high-utility and careful craftsmanship. This past summer, the brands created the Timex x Todd Snyder Mod, an eye-catching watch that meshed old school motifs with a focus on military timekeeping — these sold out incredibly fast, and we expect their new timepiece to attract the same popularity.

The color scheme stands out right away, as the dial pays direct tribute to a military version of the ‘Viscount Automatic’ from the late ’70s and other rare pieces in the Timex archive. Although it’s rooted strongly in tradition, the timepiece is paired with a sleek silver-tone case and olive drab nylon strap for a pristine, modern silhouette.

This approach to watch-making is nothing new to Snyder, but it’s always admirable to the consumer. His goal is to take the best of traditional American menswear and transform it into a unique and fresh product that has modern appeal. With the Timex x Todd Snyder Military Watch, he did just that.
