Ford recently introduced a new appearance option for the 2024 Mustang Mach-E GT, which will soon be available for preordering. The Bronze Appearance Package is more for show than go, but an exclusive performance package will also be available to add go-power. This new Mach-E variant joins the 2024 Mustang Mach-E Rally and is designed for off-pavement driving.

Why the Mustang Mach-E GT matters

Ford had unexpected success with the F-150 Lightning electric truck and the Mustang Mach-E electric SUV. The originally explosive EV sales growth has cooled a bit, but Ford needs to continue to develop and promote both models. Ford F150 pickup trucks have been the best-selling light vehicles, including cars and trucks, for over three decades. However, Ford snubbed the noses of many Mustang purists by using the Mustang name for a crossover utility electric vehicle. So, Ford is buttressing the Mach-E’s impact with attributes long-revered by ICE Mustang buyers: personalization and performance.

Ford hopes The Mustang Mach-E GT Bronze Appearance Package appeals to potential buyers’ yearning for personalization. The package bundles bodywork in three premium colors, bronze accents, and special badging. Ford promises the optional performance upgrade will deliver the quickest 0-60 time of any production Mustang Mach-E ever. We think the bronze package looks sharp and look forward to learning more about the performance upgrade.

  • Ford Performance front seats with 10-way power adjustments for the driver and front passenger

When to order your own 2024 Mustang Mach-E GT

So far, Ford hasn’t yet announced a specific starting date for ordering the 2024 Mustang Mach-E other than “later this winter.” However, with only seven weeks of winter remaining, you won’t need to wait for long. If you like what you see in the photos above, here’s what we know about ordering and pricing. The 2024 Mustang Mach-E FT AWD with Extended Range and the Bronze Appearance Package will start at $60,990. That price doesn’t include additional options, including the promised but as-yet-undefined performance package. However, you could potentially begin the process by prequalifying for Ford Credit financing. Ford says that Prequalifying will not affect your credit and will not entail any further obligation.

BMW teases new 5 series, with an i5 EV model for the first time ever
BMW is rolling out its new 5 series later this year, and there will be an i5 version
BMW i5 electric sedan under a cover parked in a studio.

The current, seventh-gen BMW 5-Series has been around since 2017. Seven model years is practically forever for a luxury vehicle, especially one as storied as the midsize 5-Series. BMW has some large plans in store for the new, eighth-gen 5-Series that will be unveiled in October 2023 and shared a few details on the upcoming midsize sedan recently.
The sedan will be more multifaceted than ever and will be offered with gas engines with mild-hybrid 48-volt systems, a plug-in hybrid powertrain, and a new all-electric powertrain in the i5. The latter will mark the first time BMW has introduced an all-electric version of the 5-Series.

Before you get too excited, there’s not a lot of information to go off of here. But the big news for those of us in America is that the upcoming electric i5 sedan will be getting the same M treatment as the current i4 M50 that’s on sale. BMW refuses to call the performance-oriented i5 an electric M5, which leads to believe that it might use something like “M50” for the sporty i5.
“The all-electric BMW i4 M50 shows how BMW blends dynamic performance and electric mobility to perfection,” said BMW CEO Oliver Zipse at the BMW Group Annual Conference 2023. “It was the best-selling BMW M model worldwide in 2022. A fully electric Performance model from BMW M GmbH will also be included in the BMW 5-Series line-up.”
Clearly, BMW has seen that there’s space in its electric lineup for a new sedan that we assume would slot in above the compact i4 and below the large i7. While the U.S. will probably only get the sedan version of the i5, buyers in Europe will also be able to purchase a wagon, or Touring, model. That’s great news for European enthusiasts that were expecting to see wagons die in the electric revolution.

Tesla stock just had its worst quarter, month, and year ever — here’s why
Buying Twitter was one of the worst things Elon Musk could do, but Tesla stock is also struggling because of new competition
Tesla group photo with Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y parked in front of charger during sunset.

You don’t have to be a day trader or have a subscription to Tesla news to know that Tesla stock is not doing well. Over the past year, the stock has dropped roughly 62% from $342 to $131. That, for Tesla, is abnormal. Traditional brands like Ford and General Motors are down 49% and 39%, respectively. Usually, Tesla stock only climbs, so a sharp fall like this is rare. So, what’s going on? Well, there are a few reasons for Tesla’s dramatic fall.
Most of Tesla’s problems can be traced back to its CEO Elon Musk. The outspoken billionaire is the main rudder for Tesla and is capable of sending the stock soaring with a late-night cryptic tweet or plummeting when he offloads millions in Tesla stock after promising not to do so. Tesla stock is coming off of having its worth month, quarter, and year, and things could get worse before they get better. Here’s why Tesla stock is having such a hard time.

Obviously, the first thing is Musk’s purchase of Twitter. The Verge outlined all of the ways Twitter has changed, for the worst, since Musk took over. Once Musk completed the purchase, he made sure that he was the center of attention, changing policies, laying off staff, embroiling himself in politics, and introducing half-baked ideas like charging Twitter users to have a blue verified check mark next to their names – leading to some hilarious fake accounts. All of Musk’s decisions and poor handling of Twitter caused brands to pull ads in droves. Volkswagen and General Motors, two of the largest automakers in the world, stopped advertising on Twitter in November following Musk’s takeover.
A lot of brands took offense to using a social media platform that’s being run by one of their main competitors. Others simply didn’t want to do business with Musk. Whatever the reason, it resulted in Twitter hemorrhaging money. So, Musk, in the middle of December, sold roughly 22 million shares of Tesla. At the time, the sale was worth around $3.6 billion, causing another large drop in Tesla’s stock price. When debating with a shareholder on Twitter about Tesla’s declining share price, Musk blamed it on the Federal Reserve rate hikes.
While Musk’s Twitter deal played a large role in Tesla’s stock price, a lot is going on with the automotive industry. Tesla was one of the first automakers in the world to introduce an electric car with the Roadster in 2008. Then, Tesla shocked the world with the introduction of the Model S in 2012. Being one of the first to focus on electric vehicles made Tesla an EV pioneer. Not only did Tesla lead the pack with its innovative electric powertrains and impressive range, it introduced radically designed vehicles with cutting-edge tech features. Tesla was the clear leader of EVs, but a lot has changed since 2008.

Yes, an electrified Jeep Gladiator is coming, and it may be here sooner than many expect. Fans eagerly await an all-electric Jeep Wrangler, but that model won't likely reach production sooner than 2028. However, the "Go Anywhere, Do Anything" brand is already enjoying great success with its 4xe plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).

The Wrangler 4xe debuted in 2021, and the Grand Cherokee 4xe followed one year later in 2022. This week, Jeep brand CEO Antonio Filosa dropped the news on his LinkedIn profile that a third Jeep PHEV, the Gladiator 4xe, will arrive in 2025.
Why the Jeep Gladiator 4xe is such a big deal
