Worn Out Wednesdays – Brenner Thomas

The ubiquitous PR men of Manhattan! Always on the go, never without their (often times multiple) phones and always smiling while putting out fires.

Brenner Thomas is one such man, although the way he handles clients, rarely is there a fire to put out unless it is part of their store opening. An Account Supervisor at LaForce + Stevens he works exclusively on men’s accessories for brands such as Perry Ellis, Oliver Spencer, Omega Watches, Barracuda, Woolrich, Woolen Mills and Woolrich John Rich & Bros.

Born in Palm Beach County Florida, (the most shark attacks and golf course in the country!), Brenner moved to New York in 2007 and worked on our side of the field in fashion journalism at DNR and WWD and then took a leap of faith into the PR side of things in 2010.

Here he explains his method to his sartorial madness.

I’ve been told I wear the same thing all the time! But I love a comfortable button down oxford Brooks Brothers Black Fleece; they are so thick they could almost stand on their own. I have loads of Gant since I work with them and I love them as well as the ones Michael Bastian makes for them as well. Those Brooks Brothers non-iron shirts are so genius. They look great right out of the dryer. Dockers chinos the alpha fit – I have them in six colors and you can wear them with Keds or a dress loafer. They are very transitional.

Paul Smith shoes are a big extravagance but they are so amazing. I have a pair of brogues and suede lace ups with different color laces.

But when I have to dress up for clients I wear patterned sport coats from Gant, which lends a very 50s feel. Then for suits I wear only Z Zegna. They fit well, they last and they won’t break the bank.

My style is pretty classic and driven by the standard ideals of American sportswear and prep. There is definitely an athletic side to me too. I love my Nike trainers I wear from work to the gym.

When it’s colder out I am in a flannel by Gant or Double RL, khakis by Dockers, Boots by Alden.

I am a big Nike fan for the gym. The fit is great and styling is well done. I wear vintage tees and for yoga I wear Lulu Lemon because the quality is so on par. You really notice it after a year when the elastic is still good and the fabric is still stable.

My dad is a pack rat and hangs on to everything he owns. He still has VHS tapes with cellophane on them! He has great embroidered pants, vintage Hermes ties and handsome old belts.  My prized possession is a weekender Bottega Venetta pre Thomas Meier that my mom found in the attic. I use it all summer. A real classic leather piece.

My look is a lot Thurston Howell, a bit of the Professor and a tad of Ginger thrown in!

Piaget goes green with ultra-thin Altiplano duo
Piaget Altiplano Khaki Green Collection
Piaget ultra-thin Altiplano duo

Piaget has unveiled two new Altiplano timepieces featuring a sophisticated khaki green and yellow gold color scheme, expanding its ultra-thin collection with fresh aesthetic approaches to horological engineering.
The Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon maintains its record-setting 2mm case thickness in cobalt alloy while introducing the new khaki green dial treatment. Following the brand's 2020 Aiguille d'Or victory, this iteration adds a sapphire caseback for the first time, revealing the caliber 970P-UC movement with brushed and polished finishes.
The integrated construction eliminates separation between case and movement, with the caseback serving as the movement's mainplate. Engraved tributes include Piaget's motto "Always do better than necessary" and "La Côte-aux-Fées," referencing the brand's founding village. Cross-shaped motifs appear throughout the ratchet wheel, balance wheel, and screw arrangements, connecting heritage with innovation. A matching khaki green calfskin strap features the new "Polish Mesh" pattern reflecting Piaget's goldsmithing expertise.
The second model, the Altiplano 910P, debuts in yellow gold for the first time within a 4.3mm-thick, 41mm case. The khaki green dial pairs with a matching alligator strap, while the ultra-thin caliber 910P features bridges finished in khaki green and a peripheral rotor in slate grey and green tones that complement the gold case.
Both models incorporate cross-shaped patterns on dial screws, creating visual continuity between the offerings. The 910P's peripheral rotor design maintains the watch's svelte proportions while providing visual interest through coordinated coloring.
Piaget positions these timepieces as expressions for both men and women, transcending traditional gender boundaries through balanced proportions and sophisticated materials. The Ultimate Concept Tourbillon joins Piaget's Infinitely Personal program, allowing clients to customize finishes, materials, and engravings through an online configurator.
The khaki green and yellow gold combination represents Piaget's "Extraleganza" philosophy, fusing technical innovation with precious materials and jewelry-grade finishing techniques.
