Have you ever wanted to spend the night in a yurt? How about a traditional teepee? Or maybe a vintage travel trailer is more your speed? Well, look no further than El Cosmico, a 21-acre campground in West Texas.

Nomads will love this all-new take on travel accommodations. Glamping has become more and more popular in recent years since luxury rooms inside of non-traditional shelters offering a unique experience. From over-the-top tents complete with bathrooms to small yurt communities, these places are not quite campgrounds and not quite hotels. They give you all the comforts of a standard hotel room in a setting that still provides the connection to nature you get from camping. Located in the tiny, art-centric town of Marfa, Texas, El Cosmico is a desert escape that has something for everyone. Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby, allowing guests the chance to disconnect from the Internet and reconnect with themselves. Make new friends at the communal hammock grove, outdoor kitchen, and dining room. Relax in the Dutch-style wood-fired hot tubs after biking around all day. And of course, curl up at night in some of the most unique shelters around.

El Comico’s vintage trailers have been fully restored to their original charm. Each trailer has a deck for taking in the desert sunsets. Choose from small, medium, large, and extra large trailers which have everything from a small bed and kitchenette to a king bed and private bathroom.

For anyone looking to take a break from an overly hectic life and rediscover the joy of doing nothing, a stay at El Cosmico is just what the doctor ordered.

Need to find your center? El Cosmico’s yurts are perfect for you. The 22-foot diameter rooms are decked out in simple Southwestern style and feature a bed, lounge seating, and a writing desk.

For a chance to connect to the traditions of Native Americans, you can book a stay in one of El Cosmico’s teepees. Each 22-foot diameter teepee includes a queen bed, a daybed, and a sofa. Brick floors are covered with cowhide rugs and beds come with heated mattress pads to ensure your space is cozy during chilly desert nights.

For those looking to rough it while still getting a taste of the luxury camping experience, there are also safari tents. These are the most basic accommodations offered by El Cosmico. Each tent includes a queen bed and a single chair — bare necessities to get you through the night.

While the accommodations are all amazing, there’s more to El Cosmico than yurts. It’s about a chance to disconnect and appreciate the here and now.
