Rowing Blazers Debuts New Harriman Cup Capsule Collection

Today, almost everyone owns a blazer. Rowing Blazers, the menswear line created by archaeologist, rower, and author Jack Carlson, is quick to point out, however, that the origins of the blazer and its functionality for rowers is where the popularity started.

With their original flannel frames, handy patch pockets, durable metal buttons, and vibrant colors, blazers were perfect for keeping rowers temperate, fluid, and visible to spectators. Not only would these jackets become a normalized accessory in the rowing community, but they would also find their way into virtually every man’s wardrobe by the end of the 19th century.

Rowing Blazers’ new Harriman Cup line is compiled of handmade pieces like vintage-inspired polo jerseys, which will be worn by opposing teams on match day.
