Worn Out Wednesday – Oliver Gold

Today we speak to real estate guru Oliver Gold.

I was born and raised in New York City, so going into real estate here was a natural path to follow. I work as a real estate agent for Douglas Elliman. My partner, Helen Arden and I specialize in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and primarily focus on sales.

Before going into real estate, my wife and I bought apartments in the city, fixed them up and sold them. Usually I would intend to stay in one place, but after fixing a place up and making it perfect for us to live in, my wife would always prefer to move on to the next project. It keeps things exciting.

In terms of fashion, I know what I like, but I’m pretty severely colorblind, so my wife does all the shopping for me. And she lays out my outfits in the morning. She leaves really early for work and on the days she forgets, I end up texting her photos of outfit choices. When she can’t be reached I typically panic, then end up sticking with black, white and grey.

As for his personal style:

Jeans: The Jean Shop

Shirts: Paul Smith and Ted Baker, guess I like the English designers

Pants: Zara, my wife’s favorite place to shop for me

Suits: Jil Sander and Ted Baker

Shoes: I always prefer my New Balance but when I have to wear shoes, Paul Smith

Accessories: I love watches. I don’t need to see colors to decide between my Panerai Luminor Submersible and Rolex Datejust.

Outerwear: Canada Goose – The only thing that can keep you warm in NYC.

Favorite Cologne: Acqua di Parma Blue Mediterraneo or Givenchy Gentlemen Only – I have a good friend at LVMH. He always makes sure I have the best colognes and aftershaves.

Your favorite App: Pager – I let the doctor come to me. I have a waiting phobia.

Favorite piece of technology: Sonos Playbar

Next tech purchase: Apple TV

How Rolex collectors are naming the hottest watches of 2025
Rolex series for all tastes

In the world of premier luxury watch brands, few brands bring the passion and playful banter as Rolex. From their iconic 'Pepsi’ GMT-Master to the exclusive ‘Paul Newman’ Daytona, the nicknames attached to some of their most legendary pieces have long served as a calling card among collectors, dealers, and enthusiasts. Rolex continues to release new models, and with each successive new watch, the lingo and lexicon surrounding them evolve. In the last year, a new wave of monikers has emerged, combining pop culture and just a touch of controversy. These nicknames have now become how we collectively refer to Rolex releases.

Nike, levi's, nigo sneaker

If you ask any Nike fan which of the brand’s many lines is the most historic, odds are they’ll respond with the Air Force lineup. One of the most iconic series in footwear, the Air Force sneakers from Nike are bound to be popular, no matter the iteration. However, one of the less talked about in the series comes in the form of the Air Force 3. An overlooked style, the Air Force 3 tends to receive less attention than its counterparts, but all of that is set to change this holiday season with a new collaboration that freshens up this understated classic. Alongside streetwear icon NIGO and denim powerhouse Levi’s, Nike is set to bring a new look and feel to the Air Force 3. While the concept of a three-way collaboration is statement enough, the recently unveiled design of the Air Force 3 is set to take the shoe to the next level.
