It’s not secret that the best mountaineering and outdoor brands have discovered how to use truly innovative waterproof and insulating fabrics. Whether you’re a through hiker on the Appalachian Trail or a climber on Denali, the advantages of 3-layer membranes, DWR treatments, and synthetic down blends help you fight the elements. For urban adventurers though, sometimes wearing that oversized ski shell (that is probably neon color blocked), just doesn’t quite fit in with the winter commuting crowd. British Columbia based Westcomb set out to change that. After bringing technical outerwear fabric to urban styled parkas and rain jackets, we are converts.

Featuring Primaloft GOLD, a down and synthetic blend insulation that is hydrophobic, the Mission is ready for severe cold. Its simple silhouette is accentuated by an insulated, removeable hood, and understated hand and napolean pockets. The outer material is treated with Schoeller Nanosphere, which will shed rain and snow easily.
