Abercrombie and Fitch’s New Denim Line Will Be Your New Favorite Jeans, Seriously

Abercrombie & Fitch is upgrading its denim — in a big way — and they might just be making your new favorite jeans now. Seriously. The brand’s recent jean relaunch offers up streamlined fits, excellent washes and careful attention to detail, all hallmarks of the new Abercrombie & Fitch. Led in part by head of design Aaron Levine, the resulting denim options are sleek, stylish easy to wear and easy to buy — it’s not too good to be true, trust us.

Notably, it’s the first upgrade to the denim line in 15 years — an eternity in the fashion world — and the brand’s new jeans reflect modern styling potential, minimal branding and no ornate back pocket stitching. That makes Abercrombie & Fitch denim a uniquely versatile, crisp option fit for business casual styling alongside a navy cotton blazer — or at an edgy rock concert with a black moto jacket.

Fit plays a big role in Abercrombie & Fitch denim, too. The brand’s denim offering is roaring back with four fits: The super-skinny Felix fit, the slim Langdon fit, the athletic slim Ruston fit, and the straight leg Kennan fit, available in offerings ranging from faded dark blue to clean, sleek black. We’re fans of the Langdon fit in particular. The Langdon fit is also available in a range of perfectly faded chinos, yet we most appreciate the classic-yet-modern silhouette that should team perfectly with essentials for the summer and beyond.

The Langdon Coolmax specifically features a wash that’s just right — slightly faded but not overly distressed — with a blend of cotton, polyester and elastane that should provide comfort, sleek style and mobility even in the heat. The brand says the new offering reflects “supreme style without compromising value,” and it’s tough to disagree. Men’s denim options from Abercrombie & Fitch will set you back as little as $39 — yes, that’s right. Just $39.

And if you’re a menswear traditionalist, fear not — A&F even makes a dark wash selvedge jean in a reliable straight fit, with a hint of stretch for good measure. Those jeans come with a button-fly closure for yet another classic touch — if it were us, it’d be mighty tough to pass up jeans made with those sorts of dependable design details.

It’s with plenty of reliable, crisp and classic options in mind that Abercrombie & Fitch undertook this relaunch — and we’re big fans. If you’re looking for your new favorite jeans to wear with everything from a slim-fit polo to a classic chambray shirt or a rugged pocket tee, we think we’ve found ’em. And given those prices? You’ve certainly got the flexibility to pick up more than a pair or two.
