Known for their highly popular and stylish collaboration, it’s no secret that the newest collaboration between Wales Bonner and Adidas is one of the most highly anticipated releases of the season. While previous collaborations between the pair have only seen iterations of single silhouettes, this new launch involves three new spectacular designs. Just in time for the new season, this new collection is the perfect series of designs to complete your wardrobe. With new accents like embellishments and premium materials, the trio of new footwear is one to watch. Along with matching lifestyle and athletic apparel, the partnership between Wales Bonner and Adidas shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Get to know the Wales Bonner x adidas Originals SS25 collection

For their newest collection, Wales Bonner and Adidas have teamed up for a trio of new styles. The collection introduces fans to new versions of the Karintha, Superstar Hi, and Adilette. While the overall silhouettes stay the same, each design gets a special touch courtesy of Wales Bonner. The WB Karintha comes with a brown suede or brown sequinned variation that takes on the classic Karintha retro sneaker silhouette. The WB Superstar Hi sees a new design with contrasting suede uppers and white toe boxes. Ready for the summer, the WB Adilette features the unique addition of woven uppers. All designs carry the pair’s co-branding and packaging. All three designs will be available on the Adidas confirmed app, web store, and select retailers on May 28. A balance between fashion and coastal design, these new styles are a perfect mix of Wales Bonner’s designer touch and Adidas’ classic athletic design.

Air Force pilot Captain David Bartell fired up his F105-D for a training mission like any other time. Nothing was different—a routine training mission to link up with a KC-135 aerial tanker to refuel. As soon as the plane lifted from the runway, the engine blew, and he began to plummet toward the Earth. At the last second, when it was clear he wasn't pulling out of the dive, he yanked a lever near his cockpit chair, and the canopy exploded off the frame and catapulted him 100 feet into the air. A few seconds later, when his chute opened, and he began to drift down toward the safety of the ground, he discovered the plane had become a fireball on the ground. He narrowly navigated away from danger a second time before he found solid ground. Then, when he was about to breathe again, pops sounding like cannon fire sounded. Driving him into the bushes. Witnesses to this real-life crash on Thursday, July 13, 1977, said Capt. Bartell only responded with "What a ride." One of the most intriguing parts of this story isn't the failed training mission, but that on his wrist was a Rolex GMT-Master II. Every year, a trade show in Italy brings together all of the industry's most talented designers and manufacturers. It isn't a fashion week. It isn't for the people who are looking to convince the consumers what is in style or in fashion. It is for the people at the beginning of the process to come together and see (and maybe even decide together) what will define the style for the next year. Pitti Uomo is one of, if not the, biggest and most influential trade shows of the year, and this year, the message is clear: The focus is on you. I know it sounds weird, because the focus should almost always be on the consumer. These are businesses at the end of the day, so selling to them and bringing in enough profit to continue on to next year is a simple goal. However, there is something that stood out to me throughout this year that Hockerty, one of my favorite attendees of Pitti Uomo every year, nails perfectly: simplicity allows you to shine.
