You know that favorite pair of jeans in your closet? The ones that look so stylish, yet feel ultra comfortable? Well, imagine pairing that wardrobe stable with your furniture. That’s exactly what happened when furniture designer Stephen Kenn recently teamed up with the Simon Miller Design Studio.

“The idea was to build the furniture with a similar mindset as the clothing,” says Daniel Corrigan, partner and co-creative director. “Focusing on the texture and material and how that will age over time.”

Each piece reflects a piece of history, as the material used to create the upholstery is repurposed military fabric.

Kenn found his inspiration while digging through a military surplus store. The bins full of tents, parachutes, bags and clothing once used in WWII gave him a focal point for not only giving these items new life, but in creating furniture that reflects appreciation for our hard-fought freedom.

Even better, they’ve found a way to produce everything locally in Los Angeles. Kenn ties his furniture together with webbed WWII mule belts, replicas he hires a local webbing company to produce. The fabric is tediously hand-dyed by Noon Studio to create the comfort of a well-worn pair of jeans.

The sofa is priced at $6,000.

The North Face celebrates three decades of the HMLYN with a new, improved parka
30 years of an icon reimagined for every day use
People wearing The North Face parkas

The North Face has never backed down from a challenge. As a matter of fact, the entire premise behind The North Face is to steam headlong into a challenge the moment you see it. If you want proof of that, just look at their name. The northern most face of a mountain is colder. It is darker. It is subject to more ice and more rock fall. To put it simply, The North Face named themselves after the toughest climb on a mountain in 1966 and has spent the last six decades attempting to outfit every climber attempting to meet a challenge with the best exploration gear on the market. For the last half of that six decades, they have had a secret weapon. The North Face HMLYN Parka celebrates the 30th anniversary with a new and reimagined version, perfect for 2024.
New and improved for 2024

The FW24 HMLYN Parka comes into 2024 retooled to withstand the coldest days, no matter if you are headed to the summit or to the office. Its iconic silhouette has been updated with modern design and features, making it more updated and streamlined, transforming it from a high alpine piece to an everyday essential.

Menswear legend Todd Snyder debuts watches with epic American collab
Bringing watchmaking to America
todd snyder x weiss watch company olive

Todd Snyder is the master of the man's makeover. With ties to brands like Ralph Lauren, The Gap, and J. Crew, he had a long history in the industry before he founded his own brand in 2011. Never one to buy into the high fashion looks of the runway, he instead focuses on finding ways to make you and I look and feel better about ourselves simply by selling us the right chinos, the right body wash, and even the right scrambled eggs in the cafe of his flagship store near Madison Square Park in New York. With that history, he has countless collaborations with virtually every brand you can think of, and he has added another to his list with Weiss Watch Company, which looks to disrupt the Swiss watch industry by bringing watchmaking to the USA.

"I always seek to partner with the best of the best. Weiss Watch Company shares the same dedication to quality, craft, and timeless design that we champion in our menswear. Together, we’ve created a watch that not only embodies classic American craftsmanship but also speaks to modern style and utility. It’s a piece that’s made to last—both in durability and in style." says Snyder.
