NFL Stadiums Score Hard Seltzer Tall Boys for Thirsty Football Fans

Since the first real push for hard seltzer last summer, the category has continued to grow. New flavors and brands are slowly making their way onto the playing field as health-conscious drinkers (or those looking to find a way to spike their cocktails with more booze) explore this fairly new class of beverages. In an attempt to take it a step further, Spiked Seltzer has recently introduced 16-ounce cans in select NFL stadiums around the country.

Currently the only hard seltzer company to come in a tall boy, Spiked Seltzer’s 6 percent ABV concoctions are set to corner(back) the market on highly-chuggable beer alternatives.

The products themselves (if you’ve somehow avoided drinking what’s been everywhere in the past year) are pretty damn refreshing. Not only are hard seltzers lower in sugar than beer, but they are also lower in carbs — and, compared to most domestics, they’re higher in ABV.

While not all of the NFL stadiums are on board, the company hopes to expand league-wide eventually. At the moment, you’ll be able to find the both Indian River Grapefruit and West Indies Lime flavors at the homes of the Chiefs, Redskins, Broncos, Panthers, Titans, Eagles, Browns, Bengals, and Falcons. You can also find the lime at CenturyLink Field, where the Seahawks play; in the suites and clubs at Gillette Stadium, headquarters of the Patriots; and in the standard 12-ounce slim cans at Metlife Stadium for all you Giants and Jets fans out there.

Not a football diehard, but love America’s sport (and already looking forward to next season, even if you’re team is already out)? You can find Spiked Seltzer at the homes of the Phillies, Nationals, and Orioles.

What does it for us is the fact that the stuff goes down easy — especially if you’re as obsessed with seltzers such as La Croix as we are — and you’ll get drunk faster than you would on a standard domestic. It’s a win-win that’s bolstered by the low calorie count which, when you think about it, means you can drink more over the course of a day. Also a win.

That’s why we were very interested to hear that the distillery was releasing not one, not two, but three new single malt whiskeys. They are Copperworks American Single Malt Whiskey Single Cask No. 22-2 as well as Release 049 and Release 050.
