Get the Plans to this Awesome A-Frame Cabin for Under $2,000

Everywhere Co.

These days, it seems like if you don’t own, aren’t building, or aren’t actively booking yourself a week-long vacation in a cozy A-frame cabin in the woods, you are missing out on both the joy of the outdoors and the pleasure of this niche architectural style.

Thankfully, Everywhere Travel Co., a builder of tiny homes, has unveiled its plan to sell the architectural plans to its new Ayfraym A-Frame cabin so you can take building your cabin in the woods (or on the mountain, or by a lake) into your own hands.

Everywhere Co.

Everywhere Travel Co. describes the Ayfraym as a cabin with “three large walkout cedar decks, large custom windows, [and] vaulted ceilings with rustic-modern wood beams. It includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of those bedrooms is a unique bunk room that includes four bunk spaces for comfortable sleeping. An upper loft with lookout windows at the very top of the cabin is a fun way to escape and get cozy with your favorite book.”

This sounds like our idea of a dream lakehouse, mountain cabin, or general country getaway.

To be clear: These are just the plans for the cabin. Sorry, but there’s no chance in hell that you’d ever be able to buy or build an A-frame of 1,574 square feet for the $1,950 it costs to buy these plans. However, once you purchase the plans, you’re more than welcome to hire your own contractor, engineer, electricians, plumbers, etc. to get started on your build right away. If you’d rather have Everywhere Co. handle it, they can do that, too. And, if you’d rather Everywhere provide you with your building materials and just go it alone, that’s also a possibility. Ballsy.

Once you purchase your plans, Everywhere Co. will send you an immediately available PDF of the architectural renderings and schematics, followed by a shipment that includes printed construction plans, reading materials, a doorknob (to get an idea of the sense of style), a hammer, a hat, and a mug.

Basically, Everywhere Co. wants to make it as easy as possible for you.

Totals costs are estimated to be between $252,000 and $277,000, depending on location and materials.

Happy building.

This Legendary Golf Pro’s Colorado Ranch Could Be Yours for $50,000,000
greg norman seven lakes ranch for sale 3

Most people know that your dollar goes further in depending on what part of the county you’re in. So, it’s interesting to take a look at how much house you can get for your money depending on where you’re shopping. $50,000,000 is definitely a hefty price tag, but in crowded Beverly Hills, that "only" gets you one acre — barely enough space for the tennis court, swimming pool, and guest house. Why not invest that money more wisely. Like, say, a secluded property of 11,600 acres complete with 2 miles of riverfront, several lakes and ponds, a working ranch with 150 head of cattle, endless trails for horseback riding (horses included), and a sporting clay course. All that and we haven’t even gotten to the house yet.

Pro golfer Greg Norman and his wife, Kirsten Kutner, have put their property Seven Lakes Ranch on the market for a sweet $50,000,000. Seven Lakes is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream come true. Located in Meeker, Colorado, the property offers pristine wilderness, stunning views, and countless opportunities for exploring, hunting, fishing, and hiking.

Western Europe’s Tallest Skyscraper is Planned for … a Tiny Town in Denmark?
europe tallest skyscraper brande denmark bestseller tower 3

The quaint village of Brande, Denmark, is about to get a big upgrade. The town of 7,000 will become home to Western Europe’s tallest tower when fashion brand Bestseller completes its new headquarters in 2023.

Looking at the concept drawings for the headquarters, which is being dubbed Bestseller Tower and Village, the central building sticks out like a sore thumb among the flat fields that surround it. At 1,049-feet tall, it will be visible from 37 miles away. The outside world is having mixed reactions, with Danish spoof paper RokokoPosten going so far as to compare it to Barad-dûr (Sauron's looming tower capped by a flaming eye in The Lord of the Rings trilogy). But the people of Brande couldn’t be happier to see their hometown company bringing so many eyes to their neck of the woods.

The 12 best Connecticut cigars I’ve tried and tested in 2024
Best Connecticut cigars up close and personal

Connecticut cigars are the clear winner for smoking on a hot summer day, in the morning with some coffee, or when you just don't want a swift kick in the teeth (of pepper). There's no shortage of options, either. Connecticut shade wrappers are one of the most prevalent in the world of cigars, and it's certainly the most common natural shade. Maduro is also popular, but the two wrapper types couldn't be any more different. Connecticut wrappers, and by proxy Connecticut cigars, are typically mild to medium in strength and brimming with creamy, smooth flavors. They're composed of tobacco leaves grown in the Connecticut River Valley in the United States -- which is where the name Connecticut comes from. Consistent and flavorful, some of the best beginner-friendly cigars are Connecticut-wrapped, but you should never sell them short. A Connecticut shade cigar can be just as refined, elegant, and premium as any other. If you know where to look, you may even find some of your favorite blends in the category across a wide range of brands and cigar makers.

I'm about to take you on a magical, doughy, and delicious trek through the broad range of Connecticut cigars. In short, here are the best Connecticut cigars tried and tested by a genuine enthusiast of the craft: yours truly.
The best Connecticut cigars I've tried and tested
While the Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper is considered a Connecticut shade, I did my best to steer clear of recommending them for this list. They're better classified as a Maduro shade or darker cigar. That doesn't mean you should avoid them, quite the contrary. But for this list, I wanted to stick to smooth, relaxing smokes that are strong on flavor but not quite so strong on pepper and spice. I also tried not to choose a lot of repeats. If you see your favorite cigar missing, that might be because it was recommended on another list or it just didn't make the cut. If you have any recommendations of your own, I'm always available through social media or email. Without further ado, let's get this thing started.
