Is there anything that cannabis can’t do? Not only does it provide CBD, a chemical compound known to have multiple health benefits, but the oil derived from its seeds can be used topically as a skin calmative for those with blemish-prone, dry, irritated, or just overall angry skin. Don’t believe us? Just ask Kiehl’s, which unveiled the .

“Many people are surprised that we decided to develop an oil formula for problem or blemish-prone skin,” says Roberta Weiss, head of product innovation for Kiehl’s. “It actually makes total sense if you think about the fact that people with this kin concern often use products that are harsh on skin, causing it to become dry and flakey. When our Product Innovation team and chemists began to research ingredients to address the visible redness and discomfort experienced by people with this skin concern in a gentle and effective way, we discovered the incredible soothing and calming power of both Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil and Green Oregano Oil.”

Overall, 60 percent of the ingredients in the herbal concentrate is solely sativa seed oil, meaning all that goodness that Weiss described is concentrated for maximum effect.

In a four-week consumer study of 67 participants, 76 percent saw a visible reduction in redness, 88 percent felt their skin was smoother, and 91 percent agreed that their skin felt softer. As someone who personally has blemish-prone skin, I have been using the Kiehl’s Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Herbal Concentrate daily for the past month and have also noticed a reduction in redness and irritation; my skin is also staying hydrated throughout the day. It works well as a beard oil, so for any guy who has both acne-prone skin and a beard, this is a time-saving, one-step process for moisturizing both face and beard.

The herbal smell is also pleasant, with just a touch of masculine earthiness. For any guy who deals with acne, blemishes, or irritated skin, this new skincare option from Kiehl’s may be just the solution to stepping back from stripping washes and serums to focus on something that is more natural, nourishing, and effective.

Where you vacation could raise your skin cancer risk, says new study
New study reveals alarming sunscreen truths
Palm Beach, Florida

Most of us assume everyone knows the importance of protecting our skin from harmful UV rays, yet a new study suggests awareness campaigns aren't doing enough to protect Americans. A recently published study revealed a dangerous gap between what people know about sunscreen and how they use it, putting millions of Americans at an increased risk of developing skin cancer. Furthermore, the study found that specific beach destinations may have higher skin-damaging UV doses than others, indicating that where you vacation also weighs in on your overall risk of skin cancer.

The study analyzed over 378 million UV dose records from the European Space Agency and melanoma skin cancer rates from the World Health Organization for 168 countries. Those seeking the safest beach vacation possible should look to destinations such as Poland, Albania, and Iceland, with the lowest combined average daily UV radiation levels and melanoma skin cancer rates. Meanwhile, other popular beach destinations in Peru, Australia, and Ecuador had the riskiest UV radiation levels. In the U.S., Alaska, Washington, and Maine are the safest states for beachgoers who want to protect themselves from the sun.

First launched in 2001, the Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue fragrance instantly became the ultimate summer scent, with hints of lemon and rosemary that transport you to the warmth of the Mediterranean. Although the brand and many others have released numerous fragrances since then, none have achieved the timelessness of Light Blue. To celebrate the fragrance’s 25th anniversary, the fashion house is back in the spotlight with a new formula that’s even more long-lasting and enticing than before.
