The Zombie, a Rum-Based Cocktail, Will Set Your Party on Fire (Recipe and Video)

While Scotch transports us to a cozy winter night in front of a fire, rum always sends our spirits directly to a hot Caribbean summer vacation day on the beach or by the pool. That is one reason we always enjoy stopping into Charleston’s new Cane Rhum Bar. Not only does the space evoke a Caribbean drinking joint, but the cocktails all bring those halcyon days of summer vacation back to mind.

One drink that definitely gets the night going is the Zombie cocktail. Owner and chef, Paul Yellin makes it very clear on the menu, ‘One per Person’ because this cocktail is a boozy doozy. If you want to get your night kicking, start off with one of these and impress your friends with a flaming lime and a seriously potent drink. Then maybe go easy on everything else afterwards.
