8 actors we would love to see in an all-star season of The White Lotus

With dozens of great actors to choose from, creator Mike White can form an incredible All-Star team

With The White Lotus season 3’s explosive finale in the history books, we fans are already looking ahead at where the show’s fourth season could take us. From potential actors who will embody the next set of spoiled characters to a large list of locations the series could travel to, the possibilities are endless for the HBO hit show. Creator Mike White hinted that there is a possibility that what comes next could be an ode to the past, though.

The White Lotus forming an all-star edition season would be an awesome way to say thank you to the fans who have watched all three seasons of the anthology so far. I thought it would be a lot of fun to brainstorm a roster of superstars that would set up a dynamic season in which we’d get some answers regarding our favorite characters while also seeing these people interact in a new vacation setting. I’m also not including anyone who already appeared in multiple seasons of the show; sorry to Greg, Belinda, and Tanya (RIP to our queen Jennifer Coolidge). These are the White Lotus all-stars we need in our lives.

Carrie Coon – Laurie Duffy

Of the three besties who argued, cried, and cemented their love for each other in season 3, Carrie Coon’s Laurie had the most interesting character arc. This is a woman who lives in the shadow of her richer gal pals and talks about how she’s searched for happiness in all the wrong places. Simply being with the people she cares about is enough to satisfy her and give her life meaning.

Laurie was the most likable of the trio compared to Jaclyn and Kate. It would be so fascinating to see her at the resort again going solo, although she might need another rich friend to fund the vacation (don’t we all wish for this?).

Michael Imperioli – Dominic Di Grasso

HBO / Warner Bros. Discovery

The middle-aged member of the sex-craved Di Grasso family in season 2, Dominic is stuck carrying on the bad habits of his father while influencing his early-20s son in all the wrong ways. The last time we see Dom is at the airport with his dad and kid, thirsting over another attractive woman leaving the tarmac. What kind of trouble would he get himself into on a return trip to the resort?

Michael Imperioli is also one of the best actors to ever appear in this series, and I felt he didn’t get enough screen time. This would satiate the desire to see him more. We always need a little more Chrissy in our lives, right? (The Sopranos fans unite!)

Steve Zahn – Mark Mossbacher

Mark Mossbacher from the first season was like the evolutionary precursor to Jason Isaacs’ character Timothy in the third season. A rich dad who tries to grapple with his vitality and importance within his family, Mark ends his time at the Hawaii White Lotus resort with a renewed sense of masculinity after saving his family from an intruder and letting his wife know that he’s still sexually desirable.

I’d love to see Mark come back for another stay without his family putting pressure on him to be someone he’s not. Steve Zahn’s awkward and exasperated facial expressions were the MVP of the maiden season.

Meghann Fahy – Daphne Sullivan

A lot of people probably view Theo James’ Cameron as the more obvious return choice in this power couple from season 2, but I’m going with Cam’s wife, Daphne, to be a part of the all-star edition. Daphne is a lot smarter than anyone gives her credit for, manipulating situations to her liking and playing the same infidelity game as her husband. She represents a new type of female empowerment on TV. Fahy was the most underrated actress of the second season.

Murray Bartlett – Armond

I know Armond is dead, but hear me out. Mike White has to get creative in bringing back this character through flashbacks or dream sequences. Murray Bartlett’s performance as the first season’s hotel manager is legendary. Armond is a chaotic, queer, drug-addicted hot mess who’s also willing to take a dump in his customer’s luggage.

I could have chosen other dead characters like Chelsea or Rick, but it’s been four years since Armond was on screen. Bring him back immediately, even if it doesn’t make sense.

Haley Lu Richardson – Portia

Haley Lu Richardson in The White Lotus season 2
Fabio Lovino / HBO

Our favorite season 2 girlie, Portia, was saddled with so many miserable and perverted men that she must be treated to another go-around with less toxic masculinity. Between Albie hitting on her and Jack using her to help his “uncle” kill Tanya, Portia’s head must have been spinning. As long as she stays away from Saxon Ratcliff, maybe Portia has a chance at real love.

Patrick Schwarzenegger – Saxon Ratcliff

Patrick Sschwarzenegger in The White Lotus season 3
Fabio Lovino / HBO

Saxon went from being one of the most despicable characters in the series throughout season 3 to a young man who might just have the potential to be redeemed. Between the Ratcliffs losing their fortune and Chelsea showing Saxon what it means to be spiritual, Patrick Schwarzenegger’s character would be one of the most complex and layered characters ripe for a return in the all-star season. It would be nice to see the entire family return Schitt’s Creek style now that patriarch Tim’s fortune is extinct, but Saxon is who I choose if we only get one of these narcissists.

Jake Lacy – Shane Patton

Jake Lacy in The White Lotus season 1
Mario Perez / HBO

Shane is the first season’s version of Saxon. A self-entitled jerk with no sense of empathy, Shane embodied all the terrible qualities of the elite that Mike White wanted him to. Unlike Saxon, Shane didn’t really show he had room for growth. He would be a perfect scene partner for Saxon if we want a double dose of d-bag or more arguing with his archnemesis, Armond, in a flashback scene or dream sequence.

The Pitt season 2: Everything we know so far
The second season is coming just a year after the first one debuted
Noah Wyle in the Pitt

Over the course of its remarkable first season, few shows have done more to earn a fanbase than The Pitt. The Max Original, which is set in a Pittsburgh emergency room and told over the course of a single shift, hour by hour, is both an old-fashioned medical drama and a modern look at all the ways that American systems are crumbling.

After the first season wrapped up on April 10, many are eager to learn more about a second season. After all, The Pitt is the kind of show that seems like it could run forever. Here's what we know about the show's second season so far:

Here’s everything we know about Yellowjackets season 4
The series still has plenty of questions that need answers.
Sophie Nélisse in Yellowjackets season 3

After three seasons, Yellowjackets has come closer to answering many of the core questions viewers have been dying to know. The third season finale brings the girls stranded in the wilderness closer to a rescue, and there are naturally plenty of questions about what a fourth season might focus on.

The show has fallen off of the awards radar, but it's still one of my favorites because of its combination of old-fashioned teen drama and heady sci-fi.

The second season of Max’s trippiest prestige series is now 100% on Rotten Tomatoes
The show is promising to be just as trippy and existential during its second season.
Nathan Fielder in The Rehearsal.

When it first debuted on Max in 2022, nobody really knew what to make of The Rehearsal. The series, which followed Fielder as he helped people "rehearse" for real-life situations so that they could be prepared for all of life's uncertainties, eventually spiraled out into something stranger and more existential as Nathan became a pseudo-patriarch in a fake family.

Although The Rehearsal was undeniably strange, it also earned an overwhelmingly positive response from critics, and it seems the show's second season is no different. The Rehearsal season 2, which is set to premiere on Max on April 20, now has a 100% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, which means that it has once again wooed critics.
