Andrew Hong says he and his brother, Alex, started HONNS in 2013 when they noticed a void in available gloves in the market. Their family has been in the glove manufacturing business for 25 years producing gloves for brands like Nike and Under Armour. They knew they could create their own in-house brand and offer a fresh new perspective.

“There was a great synergy seeing what people were doing in the sports world and bringing that to the dress glove world,” said Hong.

In addition to more compelling colors and patterns, the Hong brothers don’t shy away from putting an emphasis on comfort. Instead of a flat shape that you’ll see in the majority of gloves, their handcrafted designs are pre-curved to mimic the shape of hands at rest.

Another perk—you don’t have to take off your gloves when using your electronic devices. HONNS gloves have touchscreen capability making it a breeze to type, text or tweet.

“Our goal is to be the lifestyle glove brand for the entire world for all different kinds of people,” said Hong.

The gloves are manufactured in Korea and Cambodia, with retail locations across the U.S., as well as sales online. Plans for the future include collaborations with some well-known names in fashion.

“We can’t wait to show everybody what we’re doing for Fall 2015,” he said.
