Casey Patterson, a man so active he wears a rubber wedding band

Today we catch up with professional American beach volleyball player, Casey Patterson.

Born on April 20, 1980 in Van Nuys, CA, Casey got started in Beach Volleyball at the age of 14 when his mom made him try out for the volleyball team. A full-time basketball player, he had little interest in the sport until he attended tryouts and got hooked. He went on to attend Brigham Young University where twice during his career he was twice named to All-Tournament. Casey lives with his wife Lexi and his three children in Huntington Beach, California, where he trains with his beach volleyball partner, Jake Gibb.

Outerwear: This is a tough one. For me it is what ever is being offered at lululemon that season; from wind breakers to track blazer jackets I’m in! I also love the lululemon Lab; now that there is a NYC location, I’ll be making lots of trips into the store on my way to Europe all summer long.

Favorite Cologne: Giorgio Armani “Aqua Di Gio”

Your favorite App: Instagram I love following all the adventures of life through pictures.

Favorite piece of technology: My Bose SoundSport Wireless Bluetooth headphones. Traveling the world and constantly training it’s hard to think of times I don’t have them in.

Next tech purchase: I just ran across a post about a new luggage company called Bluesmart. Since I travel 100k miles in just the summer months this is huge. It’s the worlds first smart suit case carry on luggage.  It charges your phone, is never lost via GPS and has a digital lock and self weighing scale. Dream come true!
