For most people, when they think of moonshine, they picture something out of the movie Deliverance. Even those of us who are more familiar with the stuff were only introduced to it in the form of Shine On Georgia Corn Whiskey—a college campus staple that was usually responsible for more than a few bad decisions and broken pieces of dorm furniture.

However, over the past few years, true, traditional moonshine (or white whiskey) has made a legitimate comeback. We have chosen the top five moonshines that we believe are more than worth your time in checking out.

It's official, you can now get Stone Brewing's 29th Anniversary Double IPA. The big beer celebrates nearly three decades in the craft beer sector. The west coast brewery, founded in California, has long been known for its high-octane brews.

The beer comes in at 8.5% ABV and is made with a slew of New Zealand Hops. The full-bodied beer shows dank elements, red berries, and tropical fruit. The finish is lasting and there's a hit of bitterness to the tune of 55 IBUs.
