While we love bourbon year round, it’s nice to find a refreshing take on the brown stuff. Our man Mike Morris at Charleston’s The Park Café showed us how to make a satiating summer cocktail, The French Bulldog cocktail.

Here is how you can make it at home:
In a cocktail shaker add:
- 1 ounce of Bourbon
- 1 ounce of Averna
- 3 quarters lemon juice
- ½ ounce simple syrup
- Shake with ice
- Strain into a glass
- Add ice
- Garnish with lemon twist
