Cool NYC Guys Are Wearing SHRT

We’ve got a secret to share: the best-dressed men about town in New York City didn’t just wake up looking perfectly Instagrammable. They’re wearing SHRT, the new capsule collection of customized shirts designed in collaboration with Bespoken.

Best known for its brand of unstudied, Anglo-American polish, the New York-based brand already has one of the best looking go-to collections for spring and a recent partnership with J. Lindeberg. Now it’s added SHRT, a custom shirt program created in partnership with Warby Parker co-founder Neil Blumenthal, Fat Radish owner Phil Winser, and entrepreneur-cum-DJ Brendan Fallis. Each tastemaker worked with the founders of Bespoken, Liam and Sam Fayed, to create three impeccably styled shirts all made in the UK.

“We love the concept and what it stands for,” said Liam. “All of these guys are innovators in their own right and it’s interesting to bring different elements into our design process. We’re excited to see how our customers react to the launch and the product, and if it’s something they want to see more of, we’d definitely want to continue giving that back.”

As expected, the best features of SHRT are in the details. Fayed, for example, offered Blumenthal a subtle short point collar update to Bespoken’s classic button-down collar, as well as a concealed microfiber cloth for cleaning glasses on the go, while for Winser’s slimmer, button-down silhouette with jersey sleeves he added a hidden passport and boarding pass chest pocket. Fallis’s streamlined shirt, meanwhile, sports a signature Bespoken point collar but mixes a light poplin body with an Oxford cloth sleeve for a quietly trangressive edge.

“Working together with people who care about details and quality as much as I do was a really fulfilling project,” said Fallis, while Winser praised the functionality of his design. “Working with a tailor that comes from such incredible heritage and craftsmanship keeping within tradition but adapting to the modern day man allowed me to create a shirt that was perfectly tailored to the service industry. I wish I could do a whole collection with them.” Here’s to the future of sharper, everyday work shirts indeed. SHRT shirts are $195-225 and available at Bespoken’s website and on Spring, the mobile app.

The pre-owned luxury watch market is down, but prices for these 2 Rolexes are up
Rolex GMT Master II Pepsi

According to the Bloomberg Subdial Watch Index, which tracks the 50 most traded luxury watches, the pre-owned luxury watch market moved down around 0.1% last month, marking the sign of a patient market that wants more. This isn't necessarily surprising —the index has fallen 8.7% in the past year. But there are a couple of Rolex watches that are bucking the trend: the Rolex Starbucks and the Rolex Pepsi, which gained 3.2% and 3.3%, respectively.

The overall stagnation of the watch market can have various factors, including anticipation for newer releases. External factors like economic and geopolitical conflicts have also affected the way consumers choose to purchase watches. Prices soared during the pandemic, so a leveling out at some point was expected.
What are the ‘Starbucks’ and ‘Pepsi’ watches from Rolex?
