STAG comes to Venice

Here at The Manual, we’re big fans of STAG’s inaugural Austin store. So when we heard that the clothing and lifestyle brand has opened their second store in Venice, California, we were over the moon.

The 3500-square foot space is aptly located on Abbot Kinney Bvld. “We think STAG will be right at home on Abbot Kinney,” explains co-founder Don Weir. “We’ve been visiting Venice for years and discovered long ago that Abbot Kinney has a unique, laid-back sensibility that we really identify with.” Among their selection of ‘provisions’ for the contemporary gent, you’ll find an eclectic yet carefully edited selection of casual apparel from brands including Alex Mill, Ralph Lauren RRL and Faherty Brand, accessories, grooming essentials, original artwork, homewares and one-off vintage furniture. There is also a small offering of locally crated goods including eyewear by Vuarnet and MOSCOT. Essentially, everything you want to blow your pay cheque on, under one roof.

In the spirit of all-singing, all-dancing retail spaces, the open-plan store also houses a loft space for special events and collaborations.

Ultimately, co-founders Steve Shuck and Don Weir have succeeded in creating a retail destination that guys will want to hang out in – they wholeheartedly encourage their customers to stop in and share a beer with them.
