Luxury Eyewear Delivered with David Kind

We live in a time when we can get almost anything delivered. From groceries to your wardrobe, it’s possible to order what you want even if it’s not nearby. Which is why we were so stoked to hear about David Kind eyewear, a new online-only service that combines an innovative curated experience with high-quality, luxury frames.

Created by Dave Barton, a 13-year luxury eyewear veteran who worked for the likes of Paul Smith and Oliver Peoples, David Kind utilizes the help of a professional stylist to make personal recommendations for each customer. After uploading a photo of yourself and explaining some of your preferences, your personal stylist hand-selects six frames and sends them right to your home with a note on why she chose each pair. From there, you can select the glasses you want or continue to work with your stylist until you find the perfect match. And David Kind offers free shipping both ways, so you can try them risk-free.

But what makes David Kind different from all the other online eyewear retails in in the marketplace? First off, their frames are built with the best technology. While most brands use low-quality polycarbonate lenses, their Trivex HD digital lenses will expand your field of vision and improve clarity so you’ll literally see better. All David Kind lenses include anti-reflective and anti-scratch coatings and are oil- and water-resistant with built-in UV protection.

We tried the service ourselves and were super impressed with the speed of delivery and ease of ordering. Each pair of glasses is attached to a little card that let’s you comment on the shape and color, say of the fit is right and gives you the options to buy, pass or save for later. Because David Kind eyewear is designed with premium, durable frames and high definition lenses by experienced craftsman in responsibly-sourced factories, it does put the price point of their frames above other online retailers. But we always choose quality and corporate responsibility over a good deal. And at $295 a pair, David Kind lenses are still less than half the price of premium designer frames.

Have we convinced you to try David Kind for yourself? Check out davidkind.com to get started with your personal recommendations.

The pre-owned luxury watch market is down, but prices for these 2 Rolexes are up
Rolex GMT Master II Pepsi

According to the Bloomberg Subdial Watch Index, which tracks the 50 most traded luxury watches, the pre-owned luxury watch market moved down around 0.1% last month, marking the sign of a patient market that wants more. This isn't necessarily surprising —the index has fallen 8.7% in the past year. But there are a couple of Rolex watches that are bucking the trend: the Rolex Starbucks and the Rolex Pepsi, which gained 3.2% and 3.3%, respectively.

The overall stagnation of the watch market can have various factors, including anticipation for newer releases. External factors like economic and geopolitical conflicts have also affected the way consumers choose to purchase watches. Prices soared during the pandemic, so a leveling out at some point was expected.
What are the ‘Starbucks’ and ‘Pepsi’ watches from Rolex?
