J. Crew Debuts ‘Garments for Good’ with the High Line

Yesterday saw the launch of a great collaboration between J.Crew and the Friends of the High Line (The non-profit group who fought for the preservation of the elevated train tracks in Manhattan that are now one of it’s top tourist attractions).

On sale at the High Line Shop, J.Crew.com and select J.Crew New York stores, the line offers cool cotton tees and sweatshirts (we know, it’s hard to think about sweatshirts in this heat) for men, women and children that highlight iconic imagery of the High Line including photography by Joel Sternfeld, the High Line logo designed by Paula Scher of Pentagram, botanical illustrations by George Olsen of the American Society of Botanical Artists as well as illustrations of the High Line  by children’s author Peter Brown. There is even a High Line onesie for your little one to look comfortably hip in.

100% of the proceeds go to support Friends of the High Line aiding in keeping the park clean, beautiful and inspiring for the millions who visit each year. “J.Crew has created fresh, timeless designs that are perfect for New Yorkers on the go. We are happy to collaborate with J.Crew and some of our favorite artists to debut unique merchandise to support the High Line’s operations,” said Robert Hammond, Co-Founder of Friends of the High Line.

This premier collection marks the launch of J.Crew’s new corporate responsibility platform, “Garments for Good”, which will serve as an umbrella for the brand’s charitable product initiatives.  The concept behind “Garments for Good” is to use J.Crew’s creative resources to lend support, designing T-shirts and other items to sell in store and online with 100% net proceeds going back to the charitable partner.

Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope: New additions for the Paris 2024 Olympics

Last year, clearly already excited for the Olympics like a kid asking about Christmas in March, Omega released the two-tone Seamaster Dive 300m as a commemorative watch. Now, we have a second set of watches to celebrate the upcoming games (at this rate, we're half expecting Omega to drop a new watch to celebrate the opening ceremony, the closing ceremony, and all the sports in between. Essentially, these latest Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope timepieces maintain the essence of their predecessors, however, they feature different materials and colors, which can actually yield a significant difference.
