For this week’s episode of Beards, Booze, and Bacon: The Manual Podcast, the round-table — Managing Editor Nicole Raney, Food and Drink Editor Sam Slaughter, and the inimitable host, Greg Nibler — is joined by celebrity party planner and event designer Bronson van Wyck to learn all about what it takes to throw a party this is not only a success for the invitees but also the host or hostess.

Before getting into the finer points of party planning, though, van Wyck explains his origin story — it starts with a farm in Arkansas and also involves famed Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Dame Anna Wintour. From there, the crew gets into the nitty-gritty of throwing a party. Van Wyck coaches them in not only what you can do before a party, but how to manage the event while it is happening in addition to a number of other key party hacks. Needless to say, we learned a lot during this episode (who knew that just setting out garbage can of jungle juice was a bad idea?!) and we’re confident that you will, too.
