For the third year in a row, American-made clothing brand Freenote Cloth is re-releasing its Riders Jacket, a timeless garment built for the open road with durable waxed canvas and custom metal hardware.

What sets this latest interpretation apart from its predecessors is a brand new Navajo-inspired cotton lining and added elasticity for flexibility.

“We don’t do a lot of reproduction, but we’re constantly inspired by different jacket designs that we see or have produced ourselves,” began co-founder Andrew Brodrick.

“This particular jacket is a mashup of sorts, combining the look and feel of a traditional denim jacket with a classic rider’s jacket.”

While the Waxed Riders Jacket certainly evokes both of these iconic American silhouettes, it gets a modern lift with the fabrics that make up its interior, which include a soft chambray for the sleeves and an ultra-lush cotton for the lining.

“The jacket is constructed with all these surprising, luxurious elements,” Brodrick explained. “It’s a way for us to incorporate great value into every aspect of the garment.”

In addition to this special array of materials, the jacket also features custom metal trims and hand selected leather patches as well as elasticized cuffs and shoulders for extra mobility.

Though all these components make for a product that’s aesthetically beautiful, they also contribute to the jacket’s comfort and fantastic fit.

“Fit is the most important element of any garment,” Brodrick remarked. “Every year, we tinker with the fit of this jacket to make it more and more perfect for our customer.”

“The jacket is a staple of our line and makes a great staple in any guy’s closet,” he continued. “It’s got this classic fit that really stands the test of time and will continue to be a great go-to for our customer over the course of his life.”

In addition to the Waxed Riders Jacket ($400), the Freenote collection also features denim ($260) and corduroy ($300) jackets. Check them out, here.
