Feel Good Friday – REVISIT

The depressing news of our broke down congress and their lack of getting much done is nothing new. Budget cuts keep happening and most of us go on with our daily routine (besides tweeting a little aggression!). But a former TOMS VP, Jillian DiIorio and Philadelphia Eagles Tight End, Brent Celek are taking matters into their own hands.

REVISIT, which launched March 4th, is a new collection of luxury unisex accessories that are made in America and will benefit the National Parks (25% of profits to be exact). Their website is also a destination to learn more about our National Parks and offers ways to get involved if you please (go on!). The team has founded the company on ‘caring capitalism’ (that needs its own hashtag y’all.) and besides donating profits to the National Parks they will be spotlighting Park Benefactors’ facts, programs and history.

Jillian and Brent had the idea for REVISIT when they realized how many of our National Parks funding is facing program cuts, park closures and could be covered/protected/manned by fewer Park Rangers. “We founded Revisit to create products that honor and assist endangered or forgotten communities, cultures and histories in America,” they told us.

Brent continued, “In a world where technology continues to progress, becoming a bigger part of our lives, our National Parks are some of the most important places that we can go with our families to gather and spend meaningful time unplugged. It is important to me that people are able to continue to enjoy and have access to the beautiful lands and history that our country offers through these parks. REVISIT is a way we can immediately help our Parks and inspire many to visit and revisit together.”

The Founders Collection is the first product range to roll out. It includes accessories designed to honor the visionaries that founded our National Parks. The Founder’s Collection includes fifteen pieces such as the Arrowhead Necklace, Brass Money Band, Laptop Sleeve, iPhone case, iPad Sleeve, The Roosevelt backpack and The Washburn Weekender to name a few. All bags are designed with vegetable tanned leather, specially hand-treated with natural waxes, oils and water-based pigments and are 100% hand sewn and assembled by expert craftsmen in Los Angeles.

REVISIT’s first Park Benefactor will be Friends of Independence National Historical Park who support Independence National Historical Park located in Philadelphia. The Park is located in the downtown historical district and was officially established in 1948. In the center of the park is Independence Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the building where the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were debated and created. The park is currently open daily and offers many tours led by Park Rangers and volunteers.

REVISIT will be launching a new collection every four months so stay tuned and keep exploring the site and our great country!

Salomon releases new collaborative sneaker

When it comes to a trail sneaker, you’ll want to ensure it is both functional and stylish. While a chic sneaker comes in handy for everyday use, a trail-ready sneaker should be able to keep you comfortable on any adventure. While Salomon knows how to fuse both successfully, their latest collaboration with South Korean designer J EONGL I adds another level of style and practicality to it. Inspired by the passage of time, this new collaboration comes in two colorways that perfectly capture the inspiration of eroded cliffs and fossils. Both monochromatic versions feature a sculptural style and footwear technology that’ll catch anyone’s attention on the trails or city streets.

When Nike goes big, they truly know how to go even bigger. When it comes to their Vomero series, Nike puts this theory to the test with maximum cushioning that athletes have come to love. Whether you’re a professional or novice, the Vomero series is known for aiding performance and recovery while protecting your foot upon impact. Now, the series is getting two new additions that take the maximum cushioning to another level. The Vomero Plus and Premium are the latest additions to the series, which are as large as they come. While we are accustomed to seeing brands like Hoka with over-the-top silhouettes, these new Nike sneakers rival even their cushioniest model. Besides the added cushion, both releases also include all of the performance features you need to unlock your inner athlete.

Celadon Century Cloisonné collection: A masterful fusion of Chinese design and luxury horology
Celadon’s new Century Collection merges ancient Chinese cloisonné art with Swiss mechanical excellence in just eight pieces per design.
'Double Dragons' from the Celadon Century Cloisonné collection

The Celadon Century Cloisonné collection stands as a testament to horology, imbuing new life into the centuries old Chinese enamel technique known as cloisonné. To view these dials is to be witness to a diminutive masterpiece of ancient artistry, handcrafted by artisans layering vibrant glass pastes within delicate gold or silver wire partitions before exposing them to multiple high-temperature firings. The end result is nothing short of a marvel – a visually intoxicating display of color and light, featuring the collection's signature phoenix and dragon motifs. These stand as symbols of renewal and power in Chinese culture as they appear to float just above the dial's surface. This intense process requires more than 30 hours of labor for each dial, with no room for imperfections.

Swiss precision lies beneath the surface
