After spending more than a decade in the world of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Vince Gilligan is finally branching out into something new. The new series, which is coming from Apple, is called Pluribus and stars Rhea Seehorn, who also starred in Better Call Saul.
Now, we’ve got our first teaser for the new show, and it’s just as baffling as you might expect. In the teaser, we see a woman licking every donut in a box of donuts, as well as a sign that says “Help yourself” along with a smiley face. The teaser is just 30 seconds long, and we don’t see Seehorn or have any context for what the show is about.
The teaser also reveals that the show will be released on Nov. 7. We don’t yet know if the series will be released weekly or not. In addition to Seehorn, the show also stars Karolina Wydra, Carlos-Manuel Vesga and Samba Schutte.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but Apple won the rights to the series all the way back in 2022. As part of that competitive bidding, Apple agreed to give the series a two-season order, which means that it’s already been renewed for a second season. The teaser was released following a countdown clock that came with a cryptic tagline “Happiness is Contagious.”
While we don’t know what the show is about, we do know that Pluribus is supposed to be more sci-fi than either of Gilligan’s previous two shows. Given how great both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul were, it’s fair to say that anticipation for Pluribus is high, even if we still don’t know anything about it.
