CLAE X JackThreads Release Wool Capsule Collection

Southern California based footwear brand CLAE has teamed with fashion e-commerce site JackThreads for their CLAE x JackThreads Wool Capsule Collection.

The capsule features two new limited edition creations that were designed by Michael Vincent, JackThreads Head of Footwear. Released November 8, the collection was inspired by the juxtaposition of winter, where a wide variety of patterns must match the aesthetics and comforts of the season. The answer? Wool.

Wool is arguably the hottest winter shoe trend on the market, as everyone from Nike, adidas, and Allbirds among others, have been pushing out wool sneakers. And it’s for good reason. Wool is lightweight and airy, yet highly insulated, and dries much faster than other synthetic shoe materials. So, whether you’re flooded with rain or inside next to the fireplace, these shoes will keep you at a happy medium.

Vincent flipped CLAE’s classic Bradley on its head and reimagined the silhouette, making the new Strayhorn Mid. These wool sneaks are an exclusive hybrid with a chukka upper and sneaker bottom. It’s durable material meets the ubiquitous need to stay warm against the dropping temperatures outside, while also stepping up your shoe game for the holiday season. The reconfigured CLAE’s classic Bradley court shoe looks like it was built out of a New Year’s Eve tuxedo with its snazzy black and white color scheme. This pair is braised with patent leather hits on the toe and heel counter, giving the shoe a clean, simple, yet sophisticated look that stands out more than your average black and white sneaker.
