What’s In Your Bag? — Memorial Day Weekend

Are you ready for Memorial Day Weekend?  It’s the unofficial start of summer, so grab your bag, open it up, and get packing.  No matter where you live, or where you may be traveling, here is some great gear to help kick the summer off!
So, from head to toe, here are some great options to pack and head out this weekend, starting with the bag:

Caputo & Co.
Alex Caputo has designed this large tote made of Vachetta leather and sturdy 22 ounce canvas. Featuring an exterior and interior zipper pocket, this bag is perfect for a weekend full of adventure.

Ebbets Field Flannels for J. Crew
Known for its dedication to authentic reproductions of vintage baseball collectable items, this cotton blend, brushed twill cap is based on a original 1954 design.

Warby Parker
The Aldous sunglass is a tribute to the master of dystopian literature. With their classic lines and practicality, these frames add a literary touch to any look.  For each pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses purchased, Warby Parker works with experienced non-profit partners to ensure that each sale of their frames will give someone in need access to affordable glasses.

Burkman Bros.
This 100% cotton jersey tank top in navy tone-on-tone stripe, has a soft feel and an athletic fit.  It is perfect on its own, or, as a layering piece. Designers and brothers, Ben & Doug Burkman say “if we wouldn’t wear it, we wouldn’t design it”.

T. Christopher
The Monaco boardshort is the ultimate in sporty sophistication with a bold racing stripe inspired by the racecars of the Monaco Grand Prix. It is fully lined with a soft mesh for comfort and breathability.  Perfect from pool to patio or beach to boardwalk.

Omega
The Seamaster Planet Ocean GMT sets you apart from the rest. OMEGA launched the first Seamaster in 1948.  The line has achieved worldwide fame by combining inspired design and outstanding stability – perfect for underwater adventurers, or from beaches to pools

Coach
What could be better? A water-resistant neoprene pouch that keeps everything dry at the pool or beach. The main zippered compartment is large enough to hold an iPad or e-reader, and the exterior pocket is great for small essentials. You can then take the electronics out to store damp swimsuit when it’s time to head home.

Fossil
The Emerson Shave Kit is the way to go when traveling. With its canvas and leather details, it is a great size to stow in your weekend bag.  Durability plus functionality, equals great travel style.

Izola
The “Hair of the Dog” flask seems perfect for weekend travel! There is nothing worse than a hangover, especially when you’re not at home.  As a time-honored accessory to men of all different cultures and social classes, the flask has proven itself to be a necessity of the times and fits any occasion.

GBX
The Sentry sandal is a comfy thong sandal, with a leather-fabric combination upper.  Ideal for shorts or maybe a linen pant, its ripple sole provides superior grip when walking the boardwalk or beach. Perhaps the best thing to pack in your bag, this sandal can make your weekend.

The Unofficial Mad Men Cookbook
The one thing to always bring if you are a guest in someone’s home for a holiday weekend is a hostess/host gift.  A cookbook is ideal, and with Mad Men being a fresh and topical as ever, you’d be a hit.  Most importantly, you might be asked back.

Shinola
Now that your bag is packed and you have your weekend planned, why not give it a twist.  The Shinola Runwell bike is meticulously designed to yield the best characteristics of a lugged steel frame and fork.  They’ve engineered The Runwell to handle predictably and smoothly for  commuting, errand running or a weekend away.

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND !!
