Target’s Fall Collection is a Winner (And you can be too!)

We are all big fans of the summer season but sometimes we get tired of just wearing tees and flip flops when it’s one billion degrees outside. So when fall blows our way we get excited about layering, boots and a cozy knit cap.

We also know fall dressing can make our bank account want to donkey kick us so while we still save up for some quality footwear and some other indulgences, we try not to go too far over the edge. That is why we are big fans of Target. Their cool factor has been rising steadily and the brands they carry get it right while keeping costs low.  We spoke to Karen Mahon, Associate Product Designer Director at Target and she gave some insight into what’s coming in stores: “This fall we encourage men to explore new style elements, everything from rustic-inspired backpacks to woven shirts in a multitude of patterns and fabrics. Layering becomes increasingly important as we move into the fall season. With endless choices of simple, bold and versatile pieces to mix and match, our guests can find just what they need for a perfectly layered style to transition from fall to winter.”

Some of those pieces include a good looking toggle overcoat, varsity jacket, suede boots, a variety of colorful corduroys and comfy Henley’s. Remember that cozy knit cap? Yep, they got that too. And it doesn’t stop with clothing – that olive canvas backpack is right on point as are the rugged leather belt by Converse One Star and foxy socks to spice up a chilly winter night on the town.

Since we are sure many of our readers are still working on this season’s wardrobe, Target has kindly offered up a neat little pile of $100 (WERD!) gift certificates to help you get your fall poppin’. Simply check out the Target website and post your favorite item from the site on your Instagram and tag @TheManualStyle and @TargetStyle. We will be picking three winners next Monday, November 11th so get to clicking and bundle up!

What is old money style? (Plus, how you can achieve the look)
Adopt Grandpa Core with Old Money Style
Man in newsboy cap and pleated trousers

There is a new trend hitting the style industry that a surprising amount of young people are driving. While the war between Gen Z and Baby Boomers rages on in social issue and economic discussions, a bridge is being built with their clothing. Grandpa core is beginning to land with the youngest group entering the work world as they adopt pleated pants, suspenders, double-breasted jackets, and loafers. While they may rage against the elites online, Gen Z is adopting the old money aesthetic in an attempt to take it for themselves and change the narrative.

Old money style screams class, sophistication, and luxury. While trends may be full of pieces that adhere to the newest looks that go in and out of style, the old-money look sticks to classic pieces that never age out. It invests in basic pieces that may seem boring and plain but combine together to elevate every ensemble to the likes of JFK, Jay Gatsby, and countless others who defined our style in the 20th Century.

These silver rings for men should be added to your accessories arsenal
Our top picks for silver rings for men
man wearing Tom wood crest ring

Silver rings for men have always felt like some kind of relic from rebellious '90s rock icons like Steven Tyler, or even early-aughts singers like Chad Kroeger (regardless of where you fall on the "Is Nickelback a good band?" question.) Either that or they usually appear as simple engagement rings under a quick Google search. But, silver rings for men have made a comeback, and they're now seen as the ultimate mark of "fashun." From simple, minimalist designs to intricately carved pieces, there is a silver ring to suit every man's taste these days, whether you just want to add a high-end vibe to your outfit or actually draw attention with an eyebrow-raising accessory.

In terms of affordability, silver rings for men perfectly bridge the gap between stainless steel and gold, meaning you can still look stylish without the ensuing buyer's remorse that usually comes with a hefty price tag. So, what if you don't want to be able to knock someone out with all the accessories that the frontman of Aerosmith sports, yet need something a little more noticeable than a simple silver ring with nothing on it? We've got you covered.

This Tag Heuer F1 watch collab might be our favorite nostalgic throwback yet
TAG Heuer partners with Kith for Formula 1 watch
TAG Heuer x Kith Formula 1 watches

In its heyday, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 collection was a sensation, with the '80s and '90s seeing commercial success with over 20 vibrant colors. Ronnie Fieg, founder of Kith, a streetwear brand known for items that take us back to the days when life just seemed simpler, is resurrecting these TAG Heuer watches, though they will cost more than the previous timepieces, with the originals selling for between $130 and $390.

With over 3 million sold, these colorful watches carry a deep sense of nostalgia for millennials, who to this day are a generation seemingly obsessed with the past, and that is why these new TAG Heuer watches will probably sell well once again. Plus, Max Verstappen recently wore one at the Miami Grand Prix, and with the 2-time World Champion's face on something, it always sells big.
