Feel Good Friday – SuperFeet

When your feet hurt, your whole body hurts. Ever wonder why it feels so good to be barefoot on the beach? Because the human foot was designed to adapt to uneven surfaces. Today we are predominantly walking on concrete, tile, pavement, surfaces our feet don’t adapt to and it is exhausting. That is where the beauty of Superfeet comes into play with it’s three-dimensional insole in your two dimensional shoe.

Superfeet walked onto the scene in 1977 and to get the word out they reached out to skiers but they were reluctant. So they went to Nordica, a ski boot company which began using Superfeet in their boots and it was a great success. Next they contacted the hockey industry big boys, Bauer Skates, and again, success. But how to reach the masses? They developed a ‘trim to fit’ line and boom.

We know you are probably used to the old Dr. Scholl’s insert, but after one week those are about as supportive as tissue paper. Superfeet are based on principles of podiatric medicine. That means they really work. On a personal note, I have a friend who has had foot problems for over a year. The doctor gave him a boot to wear for six months and it still hurt.
