It wouldn’t be a Kith opening without a statement sneaker release. In celebration of their newest Kith flagship in Chicago, the brand is continuing its partnership with ASICS with an eight-shoe collection that journeys around the world. In honor of the “World’s Fair” in Chicago, which established its significance in American history, Kith and ASICS are embarking on a journey through previous World’s Fair locations with style, retro details, and performance. Inspired by France, Japan, Canada, Italy, Brazil, South Korea, and the United States, the capsule collection takes shape through some of the brand’s most iconic silhouettes, delivering another outstanding collaborative moment between Kith and ASICS. With new versions of the GEL-Lyte III, GEL-Kayano 12.1, GEL-Lyte 3.1, GEL-MAI, and GEL-Kayano 14, this worldwide capsule collection is a time-traveling exploration that pays homage to a bygone era of innovation and creativity.
Kith and ASICS bring the World’s Fair back to Chicago

In an exhibition worthy of the World’s Fair, Kith’s latest flagship store in Chicago didn’t come empty-handed. Along with the opening, Kith also unveiled its newest eight-piece collection with ASICS, which sees new styles of archival favorites and never-before-seen designs. With each design corresponding to a previous World’s Fair location, the collection brings together the world in a unique way.
For the GEL-Lyte III, the duo has opted for colorways that represent Brazil, South Korea, Italy, and Canada. The United States is represented by a shimmery iteration of the GEL-Kayano 12.1, which combines open mesh uppers and synthetic overlays. In representative colors, the GEL-MAI returns from the ‘90s with Japanese colorways. Unveiling a never-before-seen style, France is honored with the unique GEL-Lyte 3.1, which combines features of the GEL-Lyte III and GEL-NIMBUS 17. Rounding out the collection is the GEL-Kayano 14, which features a copper-toned upper and synthetic leather overlays, an ode to Chicago. The entire Kith and ASICS collection is now available via Kith’s webstore and app.
