The Mackenrow Table is the Ideal Dining Room/Ping Pong Table Hybrid

Woodworker Jory Brigham rose to fame via Spike TV’s Framework competition, where he competed against other woodworkers to build beautiful pieces of functional furniture.

Although he had a reputation of building exceptional pieces prior to the show, perhaps his most interesting one came during the show: the Mackenrow table.

“I came up with the whole idea in a few hours,” he says. “The Danish weave (in the netting) was something I had been messing with a little bit.”

That’s certainly one of the more unique pieces of the all-walnut table. The table is 60” W x 30” H x 108” D, with an added bonus – a removable net. The dimensions make it ideal for a dinner table, which many of its buyers are using it for as well. The weave was something he worked with before in seating that could slot into just about any bar setting. The pieces work together nicely.

Brigham says the table has appealed mostly to bachelors looking for something highly unique to place in their pads. What they get is an all-California table that starts in the forest as Claro Walnut and comes to life in Brigham’s Orange-country workshop.

As for its playability, it plays as well as you’d expect a $12,500 ping pong table to play.

“We got lucky,” Brigham says. “Professionals say its one of the best surfaces they’ve played on because the density of the wood is ideal.”

The Mackenrow continues Brigham’s tradition of hand-made furniture, which also includes a shuffleboard table. Both tables definitely reach back to mid-century architecture and design, while offering a modern update with angles and lines that definitely ready it for the urban living and dining room.

And as for paddles, we’ve got you covered there, too.

The Mackenrow is available as a custom order now through Brigham’s site. It retails for $12,500.

Jason Segel in Shrinking

Although Apple TV+ has a number of hits on its hands, Shrinking has proven to be one of the service's most successful shows over the course of its first two seasons. After the second season wrapped up in December of 2024, fans have been eagerly anticipating a third outing.

Unlike some shows that take years to return, it's now looking like Shrinking could be back before the end of the year after news broke that the third season has finished filming. In a video shared across Apple TV's various social media channels, we see Jason Segel and Harrison Ford addressing the show's cast and crew as production wraps.

The first trailer for Vince Gilligan’s Apple TV+ show Pluribus is here
The show now has a name and a release date.
The trailer for Pluribus.

After spending more than a decade in the world of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Vince Gilligan is finally branching out into something new. The new series, which is coming from Apple, is called Pluribus and stars Rhea Seehorn, who also starred in Better Call Saul.

Now, we've got our first teaser for the new show, and it's just as baffling as you might expect. In the teaser, we see a woman licking every donut in a box of donuts, as well as a sign that says "Help yourself" along with a smiley face. The teaser is just 30 seconds long, and we don't see Seehorn or have any context for what the show is about.
