Welcome Stranger hosts our first Manual Meet Up in San Francisco

On April 21st we hosted a happening at our favorite menswear shop in San Francisco, Welcome Stranger. While they have a stunning new store in Elmwood, we opted for the Hayes Valley location to get a feel of what is happening down town. And while our event was poppin’ we have to say, Berkley is blowing up!

We brought in our favorite California Aloe Liquer, Chareau that was gone faster than we could pour it, as well as Lagunitas IPA and Dandelion chocolates.

We got to know our local readers as they perused the goods from the likes of Apolis, Topo Designs, Our Legacy, Barbour and seemingly a party favorite, Terrapin Stationers, who’s ‘That was all Bullshit‘ calling card got a good chuckle and a lot of sales.

Izola offered up their new luggage tags as a gift for guests too.

Keep up with our hashtag #TheManualMeetup to hear about the next meet up destination and check out this video recap of our event.

The most common thing that happens when we feel the first bit of warm weather is that we get that false sense of security, thinking that the cold weather is gone. Out comes the summer wardrobe and away goes the winter wardrobe. The problem is that the weather is unpredictable, and the cold weather is almost guaranteed to return. Especially if you live in the northern United States, one of the most valuable garments you can get is a spring sweater. It's the perfect layering piece and keeps you warm when unexpected cold snaps return. Most guys will hop online and find some run-of-the-mill spring sweater that everyone else has. But there is a better way.

I recently got the opportunity to travel to Iceland where I stayed at Hotel Ranga in the scenic countryside on the Southern part of the island. Everything you could want from a resort can be found at the hotel. Great food, expertly crafted drinks, hot tubs, and even better for me and anyone else looking for the perfect seasonal sweater -- custom Icelandic sweaters made just for you, all organized by the hotel itself.
