This week, Qantas announced a reimagined flight experience for First passengers aboard the A380. Starting in December, new amenities and cuisine will roll out across the airline’s international network, including Bollinger champagne, Aesop amenity kits, and redesigned pajamas. Derived from new partnerships and customer insights, the new premium cabin perks upgrade life at 35,000 ft.
The updated offerings reflect Qantas’ push to redefine modern luxury in the skies

Those flying First from Australia get to experience the recipes of Qantas’ Creative Director of Food and Beverage Neil Perry, with signature dishes from his award-winning restaurant, Margaret. In addition, new menu items will include Australian produce from across the nation. Not only that, but First dining will include a signature pour of Bollinger La Grande Année 2015 alongside Pommery Cuvée Louise 2006, award-winning Australian wines, and an array of cocktails.
The introduction of Aesop amenity kits consists of three collectible designs and coincides with the introduction of new navy-toned Qantas pajamas and loafer-style slippers. For even more comfort, passengers can dine on demand during their journey, reducing jet lag on the longest routes. That’s a part of the airline’s focus on in-flight wellness before the launch of its Project Sunrise ultra-long-haul flights.
Qantas International CEO Cam Wallace said: “Our customers fly First because they value the quality in every detail. On longer flights, a fine dining experience, premium amenities, and complete comfort really matter, so we’ve focused on improving each of these areas.”
“Our incredible Cabin Crew have been undergoing in-flight trials and an intensive training program. It is great to welcome new premium partners on board , and we look forward to delivering this new experience for our First customers.”
