Emirates is celebrating two new offerings for travel to Scandinavia: A350 aircraft and Premium Economy. The plane and cabin signal a milestone in the airline’s investment in Norway, with the Emirates A350 known for its comfort and service, and Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy interiors. The airline launched daily service between the UAW and Oslo in 2014, with the route a favorite for business and leisure travelers.
Enhanced Comfort and Efficiency for Emirates Passengers to Oslo

The Airbus A350-900 is key to Emirates fleet growth strategy, with the airline receiving its initial planes in November of 2024. According to Airbus: “The A350 is the world’s most modern and efficient widebody aircraft and the long-range leader in the 300-410 seater category. Its clean sheet design includes state-of-the-art technologies, aerodynamics, lightweight materials, and latest generation engines that together deliver a 25% advantage in fuel burn, operating costs and CO₂ emissions. The A350’s Airspace cabin is the quietest of any twin-aisle in the sky, featuring a 50% noise footprint reduction versus the previous generation aircraft.”
Emirates’ Premium Economy cabin brings luxury travel to everyone, with a flight experience similar to Business Class. Amenities include a 13.3-inch TV screen, large pillow and blanket, in-seat charging points, and more. Seats are finished in beautiful cream leather, with a 40-inch pitch, 8-inch recline, and full leg and footrests, and adjustable headrests.
Terje Grue, Emirates Country Manager for Norway, said: “We are thrilled to bring the A350 and our Premium Economy product to Norway. This is an important step in strengthening our presence in the market. Travelers from Oslo will now be able to enjoy an entirely new level of comfort, whether flying to Dubai or onwards to our many destinations across Asia, Africa, and Australia.”
